I have no idea but I just tried it now and it did work.
And it was worth waiting for.
Very very cooollll.
I don't know what was wrong that time but there might have been a virus because things were moving slow on the net for us that day as I recall.

Hello Trailmaker. Welcome to Lewasite. You will find the site friendly and light. I looked at your models. You have a lot of very nice constructions. My favorite was the one called, "aston ashed."
I'm sure you remember me from Sodarace. I'm Classic, Blastgirl is active here too she's my wife.

I like that the sets of legs are individual. fancy ^^ and I guess complicated

Very nice. Simple, yet creative. Make more/get on xfire more.
I wish I had the motivation to finish a model... maybe over the summer.

Yeah, I'm really interested in it, too. I made one that only had a single stationary mass and separate legs like these a long time ago, but I think it was the only one I made until now. Here's the one I made way back when. It's a little different from making normal models, because a lot of the time the model relies on gravity to get part or all of its motion.

whoa! I never noticed - I thought they somehow were connected with zips or something in the upper corners

Soda's dead. SC1 was shut down. But if you happen to have Mins or SCLocal, you can still make and view models in the original format. So here's one I just finished. FavillaIt's powered by 14 single actuators and a 7-point mundi counterrotor. The actuators were programed to fluctuate around the same central point, but no two actuators share the same phase. Two actuators work together to power one of the tension springs in the middle, which in turn works with the mundi to power two legs apeice. As always, comments appreciated.

I noticed that they changed the whole site altogether. I think they even moved it to a whole new domain. The discussions and the models are gone everybody had to re-register. All the profiles and creations had to start all over it's as if they were never there.
Granted I'm not fully up on everything I haven't been active on any of my favorite sites for months but there seems to be no other way to trail the original constructions.
That's a crying shame. I don't think there was any good reason for it either. It's as if the whole domain has moved. I don't know the legality of it but it seems so wrong.

I can't find my soda local so I unfortunately can't see the model. I'm sure it's absolutely fabulous though, skier.
Classic, the new website has recovered most of the accounts from the old SC site. I can still log in on the new domain and get all my old models (albeit it in a new, fancy, anti-aliased format).
Also, the disscussions are not lost - they're just read-only. All of the old threads from the old sodaplay forums are archived and can be viewed at your leisure.
They gave all the members a bunch of time to prepare for the move - you guys make it seem like it was an abrupt shutdown. The reason they made a new site was because the old one was kind of a hassle to monitor. The zoo would go un-updated for weeks, even a month. Although I'm used to the old sodaplay, the new one is nice. And, hey, there's an edit button on the forums! Happy face!
