my sister Sarah is in the hospital. she was taken to the emergency room then discharged because the the hospital was full so there was nothing they could do due to overcrowding. two days later we called 911 when she went in stayed in intensive care for six days and a regular hospital room for about 3-4 days. when the hospital discharged her she told them she was to sick to leave but they didn't listen. when she stood she was dizzy and couldn't walk. a few days later she went back to the emergency room where she threw up and passed out. it was really bad. she is still in there and had her surgery yesterday. from what I know all went well. she has something called a thyroid storm and some three hour surgery. hopefully after this she will come home soon.
today we had another issue at checkouts where a cashier was a no call no show. I worked 10 hours and five hours I was on non stop for checkouts while my returns got all backed up and I missed my fifteen minute break because there wasn't enough coverage for cashiers. for some reason they don't care to hire anyone or schedule people. in my fifteen years there I have never just not shown up to work and I am so tired of these privileged people getting away with this crap. we have a new employee who is nice but doesn't work. many times she has to be paged just to be found. once I saw her in the training room by the computers sitting there only the computer wasn't on. it looked like she was looking at her phone. I also heard she told people she was pregnant and happy about it at 16. I don't believe it because she lies so much. the one day I was in softlines covering footwear, kidswear, ladieswear, menswear and jewelry by myself from 12-4. I had to leave at five so I was glad two people came in at four so I could take a break. it's just crazy to continue to have no help and you stress yourself out so much trying to get things done. I am really in need of a much needed vacation for stress relief.
