freedomsfloodgates.com/2015/03/12/girl-gets-hit-by-a-train-while-walking-on-her-phone-but-the-kicker-is-what-she-said-she-was-doing/i posted the above story because many people are so into their cell phone it's getting out of control. but this woman was hit by a train texting on her phone and her body was thrown. I have went on goggle and can't believe all the stories I see where people put their lives in danger because they are on the phone. I am glad this woman lived and hope she learns her lesson. I often wonder nowadays where common sense is? shouldn't people know the risks they are putting themselves in all for a phone. I have to admit I get annoyed many times at work i'll be in jewelry helping someone until their cell phone rings but the worst was standing around for fifteen minutes while a woman was talking to someone about what to bring on vacation. when she hung up she said she was sorry. not half as sorry as I was because at the time my hours were cut and I had no help on the floor. we are still living in the selfie craze where people are taking pictures in high places because of the nice view and falling to their death. life is to short to worry about what your text message was or who just called you. om/2012/08/05/man-texts-about-needing-to-stop-texting-then-drives-off-a-cliff/ people driving off cliffs and walking into traffic over a phone makes me wonder when will they realize the danger they put themselves and others in.

This is getting to be an epidemic that people are oblivious to what is right in front of them and looking at their phone screen. Obviously its a great convenience to have a phone where you can check your E mail and other messages but goodness you have to look at what's in front of you once in a while too.

I don't get how people can put their life and the lives of others in danger simply because they need to see who their next text message is from. I know cell phones are important in some cases like waiting on a emergency call but some people should stop being so attached to their phone and just stop and enjoy life. even at work people ask me for help then their phone rings they take the call and ignore me for fifteen minutes when I have a lot of work to get done.

That became a real problem at my work. Its to the point where its broken into this, if you are a foreman you have to have a phone on, If you are assigned to work a job alone you also have to have it on. All others must have their phones turned off unless ordered otherwise. So if a regular worker is going to work alone for an hour or so, I as his foreman has to message in to headquarters that 'Paul' will have his phone turned on from 1230am until approximately 2am. If he has it on any longer than that without my mention he gets written up

it's great that at least your job takes action on this. when this one girl was working there she would take out her phone and ignore me. I told pat about it but management pretty much did nothing. the girl put in her two weeks later because she was lazy as hell and did nothing all day. I have my phone on me but I need it to text in case I have to cancel plans or postpone by staying late. I had to do that before. I was asked to stay twenty minutes before someone was coming to pick me up for karaoke so I had to text and ask if he could wait. I don't go on my phone on the floor other then that issue.

The phone has become a laptop and therefore become the attention stealer of our responsibility. My brother that the board members know as Thunderbird doesn't allow phones turned on at work. If you're expecting a message you have to ask him if its ok to turn your phone on and see if you got it and as soon as you're situated it comes right off.
