Obviously I'm sorry she died. I know everybody does eventually but we're all still sorry when someone passes no matter how elderly. But it was her time.
So my question is, am I the only person in the world who didn't find her all that funny? I remember I was a kid when she got her own show to run opposite the Tonight Show and Johnny Carson got mad at her because she had become his top Sub when he took the day off. Which by the way was often for Johnny.
Her program called The Late Show didn't last more than about a year.
Almost every celebrity impersonation show has a Joan Rivers in the cast. I just don't see her as a pioneer or top funny lady but I'd be the only one that says that.

I never found her all that funny either but I still have to say she is an icon. She was the 'bad girl' before being the vulgar lady was cool. And even though people don't say this, they actually like that. Janice Joplin is another example. She wasn't that good of a singer and she wasn't at all pretty but she was a rebel and she died at 27 and that endeared her to America.
Joan Rivers was vulgar and swearing before it was cool to be such.

You're not the only one who did not find her funny. However I did find it funny that she had a show where she made fun of outfits that celebrities wore to different award shows and movie premiers, when she in fact looked ridiculous in her own right from all that unnecessary plastic surgery.

Sorry if that sounded a bit harsh, but it is always tragic when someone dies, no matter how old they are.

Nothing harsh about that you're entitled to say what you wish. And I happen to agree.

That was mild Classic usually is much more harsh toward Joan but I guess after she died his critique observation is a bit less harsh.
