Dang it! I'm sick of this winter bullshnicity!!
We were supposed to get 1-2 inches on monday or tuesday, earlier this week but, that never came to pass. Instead, we get a foot of heavy, wet snow tonight.
Being 'Good Friday' my regular run was off and with the weather being a crappy as it is my task today was to follow Roger around in my GMC and pull him out when he got stuck.
Let's just say that his rig pretty much lived on the back bumper of my truck tonight.
There were several times where I couldn't pull his Mack forward (obstuction, traffic, etc) and I would take up Roger's seat because I'm a more aggressive driver than he is - and I can also blind-side better than he can.
After the 15th time he got stuck our chain broke.... This led to alot of shovel time and going through about half a ton of salt. There were times that I'd jump in his truck and put it into 5 or 6 and dump the clutch - liquifiying the ice layer under the snow and making a 'runway' for the truck, only to have the truck slide over a foot onto new ice!!!!!
I hate snow and ice. There is NOT ONE thing I can think of that is a good reason to have it.
I thought we were done with this crap!!!
Where's the global warming I was promised, Al??!!

were lucky! were getting good weather for once! blue skies but its still cold. getting loads of work done on the boat...that reminds me, there is big (bad) news to go in the sb3 blog.
global warming will affect us in different ways though. its not that were going to get mediteranean weather all of a sudden, its the two or three degrees that will mess up the poles enough to melt everything. and raise the level of the sea.

I don't buy that global warming crap.
Sorry but I don't.
We have had the coldest March in 73 years in this PA region. And 5 years ago we had a record snowfall. Yeah, that's why I got a plow for my truck. I'm not sure where all this warming is but I haven't experienced it at all.

HA! Yeah. I don't buy that global warming crapola, either.
I was thinking about getting a plow for my GMC, too but, I don't think I can justify the cost. My driveway is only about 50ish feet long and that's pretty much the only time I'd use it except maybe at work in the parking lot (oh, extra income?)
The snow does stay around long enough, however, that it may just tip the scales in favor of putting a blade on it. Nothing fancy, though. Maybe I can pick up a good used one.
......or just move to California. Be beangirl's neighbor.

With global recorded temperatures theres no serious proof that global warming is really happening.
