Muah ha ha ha ha ha!!!
I love going to the casino.
I always walk out with more than I bring in.
I should go more often.**
In the past I've always gone to The Blue Chip casino in Michigan City, Indiana for my withdrawls but, I decided to try out the new Four Winds casino in New Buffalo, Mi. today. Mainly because...it's there, now. (It's new and about 10 minutes closer to home)
It's pretty nice digs.
Nice open space and high vaulted ceilings.
The beer's not too expensive, either.
The only problem I had was the parking.
It's all garage parking and the ceiling in there is just about paint-scraping-from-your-roof low.
Anyways, I left the house with $120 cash-money in my gambling pocket and after getting some fuel and smokes I walked into the Four Winds with $98+/-.
I did my usual - slopped a 5 through a slot machine, which didn't even hit once, and then made my way over to the video poker banks.
I plopped down at a nice corner machine and put in a $20.
Third hand in I got 4 dueces!!!
I made what I brought in and then some, already.
I cashed out and pocketed the ticket (they give out tickets instead of tokens).
I plopped in another $20 and blew it all.
Another $20 and I widdled it down to about $1 when I hit 5 of a kind and two hands later I hit a Royal Flush.
Cashed out.
Another $10 left me dry.
Now I was down to a 10, two 5s and a few ones.
It wouldn't take one of my $1s because it was made in 1985, before the mag strips, I guess.
It was surprisingly crisp for '85, too.
The machine widdled and doubled and widdled and doubled - keeping right at that 15-25 credit line when, finally, it doubled what I put in with a Royal Flush with dueces.
Cashed out and sought out a vendor.
I could find no vendors....
I must have walked 5 miles looking for the barred windows to turn in my ticket collection until I watched some guy put his tickets into one of the many, many ATM machines and get cash.
Well, that's useful information.
I must have passed by about a half million of those danged machines in my search.
Two and a half hours after walking in, I walked out with $315 and fifty cents.
See my system, there?
I keep cash money in one pocket and widdle through it.
If I double my money on that original bill I cash out and put it away - it's forgotten about.
Then, I start anew with a fresh bill.
Double that - cash out.
I keep going this way until I'm out of cash in my pocket and then I go home. It guarentees that I don't become an addict and also that I leave with something.
It seems to be a pretty good system because I've never lost money at a casino but, this is the first time I've actually tripled my pot.
It's usually around double or just under.
I should have brought a grand in with me, today.
**Is that a hiaku?
