www.myfoxphilly.com/story/24055323/knockout-game-victim-speaks-outi wasn't sure if anyone has heard of this but it's a new trend that's going around and really dangerous. it is some kind of game that has reached Philadelphia and other parts. the object of the game is to punch someone who doesn't see you and run. there have been many attacks. it could happen to anyone so be careful if your walking alone. be aware of your surroundings. I hope this game gets stopped soon but it seams like it's spreading.

This is insane. its not necessarily a motive of robbery since so many victims arent robbed but only hit. Its like the sport is in the attack.
Things keep getting worse.

That's becoming an epidemic. What do they gain by this? They target women, children elderly people, what can possibly be sport in attacking people this way? I dare say if they ever suckered me they'd better make sure they knock me out or I would take out all hostility I have with every ex girlfriend, and every stupid employee past and present on whatever stupid sonofaB!tch who suckers me from the side or behind. Lest they knock me out.

That's been a warning memo posting at railroad stations too.
You know what's going to happen next, right? Someone licensed to carry a weapon will be either the victim, or the eye witness to the ambush and will shoot the attacker. Then it will be made a gun issue. Or, the licensed carrier will be the victim and will be rolled for wallet and cell phone and the gun will get stolen. The thugs will use that gun for robbery or assault or unfortunately murder and left leaning people will say that the problem was there's guns in the hands of civilians.

I have two things to say about the "Knockout Game". For one, it wasn't even a "game" until the media declared it as such. After that it was game on. The other? The "Game" will end when a player gets their ass shot by a potential victim. And I'm waiting for it to happen.

That's a very good point. The media does have a way of sensationalizing everything and making a a partial hero out of the vermin so they can partially have one side against another no matter how outrages that can seem. Obviously that's not good clean fun or a harmless prank. You can seriously injure or even kill someone that way.

I still fear a situation like predicted in my last post Meaning that someone might take action and the problem made a gun issue and the real elephant in the room ignored? I could see that happening too.

Someone locally got arrested for that tonight. They got the idea from Youtube. So its being suggested that Youtube was the cause of the trouble. Never put the blame where it goes. Obviously if someone injures another person with a bat baseball games should not be televised because its a dangerous influence on others.

Ok to some degree that goes on. A few people wrecked cars because after watching the Dukes of Hazzard, Smokey and the Bandit or Blues Brothers they tried to stunt drive and found out the hard way they're not as good at it as the men hired by Warner Brothers to jump Hazzard pond. If you watch the Dukes a lot you would find there's about 15 jumps reused throughout the 7 seasons of the series. But anyway a 6 pack of Budweiser doesn't turn you into Bo Duke.
Is that CBS and Warner Brothers fault? Is it on YOutube that some idiot thought he could play the knockout game

it blows my mind that people look to anything to pin the blame on except themselves. I know that knockout is on youtube but I won't go out there and hurt someone. I think people should know better. we see all kinds of things in horror movies but we don't take it to the streets hurt people then blame the movie. violence is wrong on so many levels.

Too often people are guided into believing there's an angle to blame someone or something else. When it all boils down to it, whatever we do for good or for bad is a choice we made. We had a choice and that's what we decided.

And once again the responsibility is pushed off to YouTube, or to tv music bands were blamed for kid's actions when I was growing up. They still are sometimes.

I think sometimes the punishment should fit the crime. They should march these people along and have them just ambushed and beaten to a pulp.
