Thank God for that boy's pursuance. And his knowledge of what to do. The news cast tries not to say this exactly, but its almost a shame to think that his mother was oblivious to the warnings that she almost subject her sons to unnecessary danger.
PS happy 300 Weasel2htm. Being a former baseball player I recognize .300 an a milestone. If you bat .300 you get a monetary bonus.

Its amazing how many people do ignore warnings. Myself included at times. Forecasters predict snow storms and I sometimes doubt that its going to be as excessive as predicted because so often it doesn't live up to prophesy.
I can believe that hurricanes and tornadoes are similar but since they're so much more deviating I would tend to not gamble with them as much.
*Classic, how many 300 seasons did you have?

I wish we could predict Earthquakes. That's the one thing that we never know when its going to happen. The western United States is more prone toward earthquakes so is Italy and Japan, but not too much the eastern USA but it is possible to happen anyplace.

that little boy is a hero for telling his family what to do. he was very brave. I agree many people don't listen to warnings. I remember seeing comments about sandy that it would be a non-event and they were just trying to scare us. I got everything I needed as soon as I heard about it so I would be ready. I had my cell phone and laptop plugged in before power went out and batteries close by. but I wasn't prepared on losing power for so long. I just watched a video on a tornado where the guy was filming it as it came right at their house. one minute he took shelter then their home was destroyed and houses were gone. one minute everything is great then next you lose everything in a disaster.
