I have been watching this trial since it started. Travis Alexander was stabbed 30 times, his throat slashed and shot in the head by his jealous ex love Jodi Arius .This happened 5 years ago. She claimed "self defense" She was found guilty of 1st degree premeditated murder yesterday. I burst into tears when I heard the verdict. The jury will decide today if she lives or dies. This woman is a psychopath . I have not seen anything this violent since The Manson Murders. I am hoping for the death penalty.

Self defense? I could see that reply when its 1 maybe 2 bullet wounds, even 1 or 2 stabbings, or 1 or 2 hits with a club, * not all 3 of course* but 30 times hardly amounts to self defense.

That's just a psychotic murder. End of story.

i am glad she was found guilty of murder. self defense sounds like a copout because she didn't want to go to jail. I don't think she should live to see another day after what she did.

Right now she is in a locked psycho ward. 20 minutes after the verdict she went on TV and said she wanted to die . Just another attempt on her part to manipulate the situation. She claimed Travis attacked her and she was fighting back when she killed him. She also dragged his name and reputation through the mud making him out a perverted abuser. Thank God the jury did not buy into it. The penalty phase will now be postponed until next week.

I didn't follow it, but the little I heard was how even her family didn't defend her, they knew she was crazy! And something about her doing handstands and stuff when she was caught?

Yes, even her family thinks she is crazy. When she was first arrested in the interrogation room when the detectives left the room she is seen on camera singing and then she does a hand stand. She is arrogant and shows little remorse.

Today the jury found Jodi used "extreme cruelty" when she murdered Travis Alexander .DUH! She is now eligible for the death penalty. Tomorrow will be the families chance to speak and exercise the victims advocate rights by addressing the jury for there brother Travis. The judge placed an order so Jodi cannot give anymore interviews to the media.

"Extreme Cruelty?" At least they came to that conclusion. I have less and less faith in jurys all the time. It looks as if they're not going to botch this one at least.

I hope they won't. They seem to be a focused jury on the facts of the case not on emotions.Court has been delayed until Monday. It seems Jodi's allies don't want to testify on her behalf anymore. Geeze! Who knew?

We are not talking about 1 to 3 shots or even 1 to 3 stabs that could be self defense. We're talking about 30.
I remember a time a few years ago an armed security guard was shot by an intruder but not wounded badly, and the guard shot back in the chest and the 2nd shot hit the intruder in the back and the guard was questioned for having shot the intruder in the back after having been wounded himself already and his 2nd of 2 fired hit the instigator in the back and he was on hearing to be dismissed or even on trial.
Here we have a 30 wound murder and there's possible debate? The world has come a long way there and not for the better.

I agree Phil. This man was butchered. Monday Jodi Arius will take the stand and try to persuade the jury to spare here life. She will discuss her "art work" her long time friends etc. She has never showed remorse for what she has done. It has always been about her. We shall she. It should be interesting.

So she thinks that her friends might miss her and the death penalty would deprive the world of any future paintings she may complete? We are s dumb society if that sells.

I agree Kimm. Her friend is a convicted felon who by law is not suppose to associate with other convicted felons that being Jodi. Her "art work" is just sketches she copied from other artwork. Not enough for me to think she doesn't deserve death.

A new jury brought in means starting the whole trial over if I understand court process properly.
More time wasted and more opportunity for Jody Arias and her lawyers to find a way to slip through the cracks.

Phil the jury deadlocked. 8 wanted death 4 wanted life without parole. It has to be all or nothing. Only the penalty phase will be re tried with a new jury. Her murder one conviction will stand. A new jury will be picked to decide her fate. Just disgusting and such a waste. Good thing. She will be kept in isolation 23/7 and no more media interviews.

Phil is probably going to wonder but I think that we do not have a hung jury there its unanimous guilty but not getting a unanimous decision blocks death penalty.
