3 girls found alive in a Cleveland house

Its shocking to me that something like this can still happen in today's world. But I suppose nothing is fully impossible. This is like a story from the old west. Something on a Gunsmoke episode where a fugitive's neighbor contacts Marshal Dillon who then finds 3 missing people inside. Not something you could expect to see in 2013 in a sophisticated society. But this happened in Cleveland and these 3 girls have been kept captive for over a decade or about a decade. I know more details will follow.

Charles Ramsey is the man who helped the women out of the house. Ramsey declined the posted reward saying 'I get a paycheck, give it to the women.'

I am pleased to see that some integrity remains.

Thats quite a story I cant imagine how someone can have 3 others bottled up in a house for so long. I wonder if he moved them around or how it took so long for them to finally escape or even alert anybody they were there.

He must have had them chained up when he couldnt be home or theyd at least attempt an escape.

They were chained and tied with rope in the basement and raped .They were allowed out of the house only twice in 10 years. I am so sickened by this. Pedophiles need to be executed!

I know the story broke a few days ago and it's kind of had time to sink in, but the thought that something like this can still happen in today's day and age is quite a shock.

Nobody suspected anything either from what we keep hearing. Obviously we don't know the whole story but to me, it seems as if once in a while someone should have heard screams, people arguing, anything. But apparently not. Obviously some of these said run down neighborhoods as that one has been labeled as such some of the local thugs have cased the houses at one time or another but not that one I suppose.

i herd the one one girl had a baby from the rape. the one part that made me cry is reading about the one girl who escaped and never got to say good-bye to her mom. since her daughter's kidnapping her health really took a toll. it's horrible what these girls went through. not sure if I read correctly but police were at that place years ago and left. I don't know how nobody herd screaming or chose to look through the house. I also thought I read something happened in the backyard and police did not do enough to investigate. I hope these girls get the help they need in dealing with the horror they went through all these years.
