Alrighty lets discuss this. I am 41 years old but have not had that many vehicles.
My 1st vehicle was a 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Then my father sold me his 1987 Chevy truck I had til December of 2002 when a drunk hit it while it was parked at a curb. It was on its last leg anyway.
That week I bought myself a 2003 Chevy Silverado 3500 and we also bought my wife a 2002 *leftover* Buick LeSabre.
You all remember the truck from my early youtube and long term lewasite members are aware that in October of 2008 I was t'boned by a motorhome and that truck was totaled. The area Chevy dealer had a 2009 Silverado 3500 red right on hand. Actually a new version of the same thing and that's been in my youtube blogs ever since.
In the meantime I have acquired a 3rd vehicle my dad's 2002 Lincoln Continental. I've used it sometimes because it gets better gas mileage than the truck, and sometimes I have to take some kids somewhere and it means not usurping my wife's car or stuffing into the cab of my truck. But my dad's car goes days at a time without being used. Jason will be using it later this year.
My wife figures now that the note is nearly paid on my truck that maybe its time for a new car.
I don't begrudge her this of course. The Buick is 10 years old, and all. However it had very few miles on it and is kept clean and in the garage therefore has no rust and does not really have the wear and tear of a 10 year old car.
I know I'm not possibly going to win this so I've begun to look at Chevy Impalas, Buicks, several Ford models and Doge Challengers. Lincolns and Cadillacs are out of my price range.
A Ford SUV is being considered but nothing is for sure yet.

I haven't had tons of cars either. I'm not quite as old as you, Phil, but I'm getting up there. hahaha
Well I currently have a F350, A Mustang GT convertible, and a Explorer. Blastgirl has an older Monte Carlo. We were going to trade that in on something with four doors, but Thunderbird bought a new Explorer so I bought his. That solved our doors for kids problem.
My family has always had Fords no exceptions for our personal cars. The family business has had Fords and operates over 70 trucks. Some are regular pickups, some are Ecconoline vans, some are dump trucks, cube vans, up to about F650 dump trucks or steak trucks.
There's over 70 of them all Ford. I mentioned once that there was a bulldozer that got loose and ran over 4 pickups around 1995. So my father had to buy 4 used trucks because of the hurry and one was a Chevy, one was a GMC, one was Dodge and the other was a Ford. And he has hardly ever bought used trucks all 4 of those served the company for years.
Its just that my father always bought Fords and we have remained a Ford family. Its not as if we don't like other kinds of cars.

Since we're on the subject, the Lewasite Administrator should buy his Wife a new Cadillac. I'd settle for a Lincoln if it must be in the Ford Family. ;D I like this one.

That does look pretty good.
For us nothing is definite yet. I think for my wife's need a front wheel drive sedan is enough. Some of this all wheel drive stuff is a bit much. My 4 wheel drive pick up shifts out of 4x4 for when you don't need it. I never was a fan of full time 4x4 because it ends up needing more drive train work than a conventional system.
Maybe if you live in an area where you can't get along any other way its different but not for us.
Something like a Taurus or an Impala would be just fine.

I made some Youtube videos of a 63 T Bird. My father had at 1 time about 50 old cars and some old tractors too. Some were sold off shortly before he died. Since his death 2 years ago a few others have been sold. But we still have that 1936 Ford that is pictured in 1 of my blogs and the 1950 Lincoln led the procession at his funeral. There's still about 15 of his cars in that building he owns *or I should say now my mother owns* a short distance from their house. I could go through it and show some of the cars that we still have on Youtube.
I'm sure eventually the rest of his cars will be sold off and them my mother will sell that building unless Alan develops that hobby. He might do that.

Well we had a light dusting of snow and I was going to plow my driveway, my mother's and a few others before work and that didn't happen. I figured I'll hit these driveways on my way home then since it's still early in the morning when I get home and clear them all out. It warmed up and rained a bit and all the snow was gone by the time work ended. I'm glad I didn't waste my time plowing. lol

It would be a shame to plow all that snow for nothing.
I am from Olcott, NY and the other weekend they had the annual slush swim. I don't live there anymore but my family does. What the Shush swim is is you go swimming in the frozen and slightly thawing lake to raise money for charities.
Its a bit dangerous as the water is nearly freezing. Some people don't wear diving suits either some wear bathing suits. Its pretty intense.

Hypothermia and pneumonia would be a big risk. I think in cases like this we could just make a donation without having to do something heroic to get it. Our culture has gotten so the 'dare element' is part of the factor now.

It's not going to be any of the florescent colors. Whatever we get if we do get something new its going to be a normal color. Blue, white, red, green, maybe black, maroon... probably not silver and no beige or tan.
