My brother and me found a news paper from 1980. My grandpa had it in a desk drawer
who knows maybe he saved an article my dad said " knowing my dad he probably just put it there and forgot about it."
whatever happens we had a newspaper from 1980. So my brother and me were looking at cars for sale like Chevy Nova, Ford Pinto, Dodge Aspen, Ford Maverick, and calling the numbers to ask about the cars for sale.
I know its probable that the same people with that phone number aren't who we reached but the confused responces when you tell them there's an ad for a 1977 Pontiac Catolina for sale and you're interested in the car and you swear this is the number in hte paper and they insist you have the wrong number is kind of funny.

;DYeah, I remember phone pranks too. "Do you have Prince Albert in a can? Well let him out!" "Is your refrigerator running? Well go catch it!" ;D

As Jason and Eric's father I have to weigh in here a little bit. This newspaper was in my father's desk drawer for probably 30 years. It was at his place where he kept *and some are still kept* his antique cars and tractors. That is a place that not throwing out old things was made possible since my mother did not use that building. The house was a different story. Its funny my father rest his soul was not a cleaner but my mother is meticulous. Balance I guess.
So this newspaper that the boys found extremely interesting movies at the theaters like 'My Body Gard' 'The Hunter' 'Any Which way you Can' and 'Herbie goes bananas'
News of the coming Carter vs Reagan election, and the classifieds that they had a little fun with calling to say that they saw the ad in the paper for a car for sale. Perhaps that's immature but I also think its funny. I guess you have to let them have a little fun once in a while.

Its harmless though they didn't tell people there was an accident or anything like that. Nothing harmful.

My mom saved the newspapers with my brothers and my birth announcements. Circa 1955 and 1957.very cool to read them when I was older. A loaf of bread was 10 cents.

Finding silliness funny is part of my way. Not only the things I mention a lot. But my friends and me go through malls and stores singing and skipping were totally goofs. So this little joke with Jason and Eric is right up my ally.

Blastgirl and Kimm are two queens of silly. Yeah and you're the king of sleeping. You're out like a light and all. I will say this at least, Classic and our Sons are such heavy sleepers I can run washers and driers at any hour of the night and not wake them. ;D

The rest of the time I can be awakened easily.

I am kind of a heavy sleeper. I've been told of things that happened while I was asleep that obviously made some noise and didn't wake me. hahaha.

I inherited my dad's 4 hours of sleep is enogh most days. My mom goes to bed shortly after my dad leaves for work I usually stay up as late as I want. I used to have to go to bed but I could never sleep so my parents said that as long as I don't have trouble waking up for school, my grades don't slip or my teachers don't tell them I doze in their class then they wont lean on me for a bed time if I can't sleep at that time anyway.

And to mention Jason has had excellent grades. I didn't sleep a whole lot when I was his age but I was unusual for my age group. I still don't sleep much and on the weekends its even less than usual because O don't work nights on Friday or Saturday and to avoid sleeping the day away I'm up early like you're supposed to be. Sunday night and Monday I end up being a bit tired but I can manage.
