I was rummaging through some old files today and came across this fantastic little piece of nostalgia: I tend to keep everything. I still have birthday cards from my grandfather for my 13th in 1990 (who passed in 2004). Does anyone else have a celebration card from the distant past? Perhaps from relatives long gone?

That's a good idea, I have some old cards too. I am glad that I kept them. Obviously I don't have every card ever sent to me but I have saved a lot from years past. That card is from our Phil I assume? Must be that looks like other writings we have seen from our esteemed Sgt Enforcer.
I like saving cards I suppose its no different from collecting old baseball cards.

You are correct. This is from none other than our Gunnery Sargeant ca. 2010 AD.

Actually that was 2009 becasue it mentions my father being a 76 year old and therefore it was 09. Next month he will have been gone 2 years. He died January 16, 2011. *aged 77*
I can't believe it has been that long already.

I have a box full of cards. I even have a Valentine's Day card from my grandparent's that was given to me when I was 6. While I don't have every card ever given to me, I have a lot of Christmas cards, high school and college graduation cars, and several birthday cards given to me by friends and family.

In my mother's cedar chest I found that she had saved every card my brother and I had made her or given her in the 46 years of life on Earth.
