So has anyone else heard about the recession thats looking at coming. Ive heard there expecting another stock market crash, etc. Hopefully this doesnt turn into anything to bad. It's not looking that good though, with the outrageous prices.

Maybe but they say that everytime the economy has a possible down turn. They read us the riot act telling us how the great depression of the 1930s is going to be a day at the beach compared to what is infront of us.
My suspicious opionin is a liberal press hopes that the incumbant GOP will lose this election if they suggest that a crash is coming now. They hope that sways you to vote for a liberal.
Hopefully that's not the case but I suspect it could be.
On the objective side I think that things couldn't really crash like that again. Since that 1929 crash leading to the depression of the 1930s. Since then filters have been put in place to make it so we couldn't really land quite as hard as we did that time.

I somewhat agree with Phil in the media having a scare tactic approach. I also think he's right that since the depression there have been plans that are designed so our life wont suffer like it did what that happened.
I guess if the media doesn't have something juicy to report they become mundane too. And that's just how it is. I hope nothing as severe as the Great Depression happens again.

I think what we're probably going to see is quite a lot of people losing their jobs. Things will probably get pretty expensive, (although the price of oil is going down, since our economy is floundering. It went from over $100 a barrel back down to around $90 last week.)
I also think we'll see the DC two step, big time. Whenever this happens, you can be sure the government won't respond like jack rabbits on dates.

Yeah, after 15 years running my boarding kennel I am calling it quits April 1, 2008. Why? The economy. People are afraid to travel or spend any excess money on there pets. I made a crappy nothing last year. My bills continued to sky rocket! I will get a job in retail somewhere. I am lucky I live at home. California is sure not "The Golden State" anymore.

Some people treat their pets better than they treat themselves. I know what you mean though. Economic recession is a rotating cycle theres even a pattern called boom and bust, or peaks and valleys that describes what transpires to change the ups and downs of the economy.
I agree with Phil that theres always press looking for a way to embellish the story too because unless news is interesting it doesnt get followed or viewed.
But recent studies show the economy taking a downward turn.

I think the only thing we can really do is go out there everyday and keep trying. Mist other things will take care of themselves.

I plan on going to work everyday nomatter what happens. I'm kind of cheap so the national economy doesn't effect me that much.
