Okay, so Windows... Is boring. Same skins, same way of use, everything. I want something new to try. I thought about Linux, but that's not much for gaming, which is what I find my self spending a lot of time doing.
So I come to you guys for help, I need an idea of what I can do to/with my computer to make it entertaining again.

You could play old time games. You could make videos like Phil, Jersey Life and some other members have. You can find old movie clips and your favorite music videos there's lots you can do to make the computer entertaining.

I mean more on the lines of on my computer, like a new shell, or something. To give my computer a unique / distinct look. I'm fine with the games I play, I just hate looking at such a bland computer screen when im browsing online/talking to people on aim, etc.

I'd say just get rid of XP all together, but obviously you don't want to do that  . I s'pose the easiest thing to do would be to get a bash port, like this one and play around with that. |

Haha idk im thinking of just trieng to dump the computer out of my life for now, I spend a lot of time just sitting there. can't wait for this summer, ill never be home lol.

Dual-boot with Linux. When you want to play games, boot XP. If you cannot partition your drive, try the excellent Wubi installer, which is what I used. If you must stick to Windows, try installing the Blackbox shell. If you have no idea why one would install Blackbox, try searching Deviantart for themes and feel free to gape in wonder. ___ btw, I am sorry for being so inactive. Classic, I know we had a deal, but I have run into an extremely busy school schedule. I will post here whenever I can, but I will probably be scarce in all forums for a while. |

I guess I'm an O/F because I don't get any of those computer terms at all.
If you said 4degrees B-TDC I would say that's the timing spec for a Chevy with a 350 engine.
If you said Its a 12 I'd know it's a 12 horse power tractor.
I think I get whats being said in edlinfans post but I'm not sure.

D btw, I am sorry for being so inactive. Classic, I know we had a deal, but I have run into an extremely busy school schedule. I will post here whenever I can, but I will probably be scarce in all forums for a while. That's understandable. I realize people have a life and can't participate in sites everysingle day. In a month I'll be at spring training and I won't be on everyday either. I'll make sure Blastgirl is registered at TeamMage and you make sure you activate her account and that will help both sites while I'm away. |

Heh, maybe this will help putting it abck on topic.
Thanks for the idea about the BBshell. I got a couple themes in mind I wouldn't mind trying. I think im gonna set it up tonight when I get home.
Anything specific I should know about it? I found a tutorial that looked nice, but just incase, figured I'd ask.
