I was upset a little bit ago I couldn't get the server for this website. I was up kind of early today too and I went to log on and nothing. I was ready to go back to bed and stay there until work time tonight. Then I decided to make a tuna fish sandwich and try again.

The forum was still down.

So I posted a distress signal to Proboards.

It looks like some other forums had the same trouble. Server #18 which hosts Lewasite as well as numerous other forums was down. That so any forums hosted by server #18 would be offline until repairs were made.

On behalf of Lewasite and any other forum served by server 18 I would like to thank Mr. All Seeing Eyes for repairing the server and getting our forum back on line.

Our Nobel Sergent was able to get to the bottom of this.

I went to bed early last night but Blastgirl told me that the server was down. She was afraid we had possibly been hacked but the symptoms are different. The site being hacked would have threads damaged but the site would be there.

In any event all's well that ends well.

Thanks Phil for being aggressive and to the proboards moderators for rebooting our server.
If we're under server 18, there's probably hundreds of other proboards websites operated by the same server.

I was responding to a post on the entertainment YouTube disco thread. I pushed the post reply button and the green forum vanished! Freaked me out man

My bride actually woke me up and said that I better have a look. The code page shown is indicative of a server down rather than a domain destroyed.
When a domain is destroyed it either has a blank white page that says "Page No longer exists"

Some forums have been hacked but the forum is damaged but you can get there through the normal coordinates.

I was concerned so I woke him to get an opinion I was fearful someone got in like before but I'm glad a server could be rebooted and things are running again.

Surprised this hasn't happened before... Servers crash, big deal nothing to worry about

Maybe it has but I have never been logged when it happened before if it has.
