Well said Beangirl. This is very sad news. My wife is a huge Whitney Houston fan so that's all that's been in the CD player for the last couple days. She could really sing though no question about that.

she had a amazing voice and so much talent. when I herd the news I said someone got it wrong. there is no way she's gone. I just can't be live she's gone. she will be forever missed.

I am sorry Whitney Houston died. Death is tragic no matter what the circumstances may be. However, did that funeral need to be televised? I mean Geezzzzzzzzz

I watched it too. I though it was very good. Not a spectacle or media frenzy just a nice down home funeral. It made me cry. The people who sang and spoke were her family and friends. She was a superstar and I guess we her fans also needed closure too.

I think I'm going to invent a new supermarket game. The contestant wears a blind fold and stands in front of the magazine rack and reaches for a publication and wins a prize if they can pick out a publication that does not have Whitney Houston on the cover.
I'm glad to hear that the press didn't monopolize the procession.
