Bobby Brown is directly responsible for it. She had an amazing career until he hooked her on crack and other drugs. Like Amy Winehouse, another one that wasted her career and talent, Houston was once again another ticking time bomb that was only going to blow up within a matter of time.
I'm more concerned with the fact that more people express sadness over the death of Whitney Houston and other celebrities instead of honoring the hundreds of men and women of our armed forces that have died and die every die every day protecting our freedom. I really think its a testament to how far our society has truly fallen.

I agree with most of what Jersey is saying.
I agree that Bobby Brown was a contributor if not the very cause of Whitney's problems. I agree that our freedom is grossly taken for granted, and that our military people are not held in high enough praise for what they do.
The only thing I might not fully agree with is the statement 'that's how society has become.' In my case meaning I think that is not something new and that as a country we have long had miss placed priorities.
I was 6 when Elvis Presley died. I do remember him, my parents were Elvis fans and my aunt who was a bit immature entertained thoughts of meeting Elvis and some day winning his heart.
I wont go there right now but I'm not exaggerating you'd have to know my aunt to get that.
But the king of rock and roll had died and the world nearly stood still for days and weeks.
I was not born at the time but I have heard from older relatives that James Dean's death brought similar reaction.

another example as to why pepsi is better than coke. In the 80s when Michael Jackson got his hair caught on fire filming a Pepsi commercial and Richard Prior got burned while free basting the joke was What's the difference between Michael Jackson and Richard Prior? Richard Prior got burned up on Coke and Michael Jackson got burned up on Pepsi.

i agree with jersey. celebrities alto of the time take the attention from our brave solders. like Britney spears getting married in Vegas that took up front page of our newspaper. it seems like people want to know so much about celebrities divorcing, breaking up and whatever in life their doing. but what about the men and women who serve our country and can't be with their family. they can't be with their kids. their deaths don't get the publicity sometimes the way celebrities do. as for bobby brown I didn't like him either. he took Whitney down a dark road. he smacked her in the face when a man should never hit a woman. got her hooked on drugs. I kind of wonder if things could of been different if she was never with him. maybe she would be alive today. I miss her greatly along with the worth. she was a amazing person with a good heart.
