Take time today to remember and pray for the losses of 9/11. We shall not forget.

i'll never forget 9-11. that was the day I had off from work. I woke up to watch tv and saw the planes hit the twin towers. I thought it must be a movie. I turned on other channels and it was on. the horror and sadness in people's faces. it was real. I couldn't believe it. I got a call from my friend to come to her house with another friend. I ended up cancelling shopping with a guy friend. me, erin and jill watched tv and held hands and preyed that night crying. we were so afraid something bad was going to happen in the united states again. im so greatful our president knew what to do. if we didn't go to war they would be laughing at us knowing they won. they would of tried another attack again. the troops are hero's for doing all that they did. they fought the war on terror and some lost their lives to keep us safe. god bless them every single one.

I don't think I anybody can forget. I played for the Lookouts at that time. We were not in the playoffs so that Monday we had the team and family dinner, followed up by a brunch Tuesday morning when that happened. It really took us aback. Possibly more so our players who were not born in the Untied States. The South Americans, and Dominican guys who see America as invincible. Obviously it was a wake up call to everybody. I do feel more secure now though. I feel National Security has made large steps.

I like that video Kim. I think I'm going to favorite it on my youtube.
I happened to be working dayshift when that happened. I remember an announcement that a plane hit a tower. I remember thinking that had to be a rather careless piece of flying its not like the building was going anywhere. Shortly after word came that a 2nd plane hit the other tower and then the pentagon and of course we now knew we were under attack.
We are not military or anything but we are regulated and supervised by the federal government. I work for Penn-York which is a sub division of CSX. CSX is the parent company for all of the eastern United States. Union Pacific would be our western counterpart.
We were shut down for 48 hours just as the airports were stopped for that span so were the railroads.

i remember it somewhat i remember the news showing the towers coming down and I think I understood my parents telling me what happened that the terrorists hijacked the planes and turned them into a missile
@my dad, I think I rembser you saying they had military inspectors and armed men on guard while people like you inspected the tracks and train stations
