i leave for philly on saturday. I am terrified that I am going to get very lost. I am taking a bus from wescosville pa to reading pa then to either 10th and filbert st, norristown or 30th street. from one of those places will be to willow grove mall. I have to call septa to figure out a route. I have looked online and it looks so confusing. I am so scared of getting lost and missing the concert which might happen. has anyone ever got lost or taken a wrong bus. I once did going from wescosville pa and instead of going to reading pa I went to new york. I know better now to ask tons of questions so I get it right. so much stress I just hope everything goes right.

If the bus services are anything like Amtrack you have nothing to worry about. The guides should be able to make sure you have the right bus. Don't be shy to ask, it is their job to assist you.
If you haven't cut things close timewise there should be no problem.

thank you phil. my friend told me which way to go from 30th station in philly. if I get lost I can call her at giant and she will come get me. she let her friend at service desk know and he said it's okay. but guess what. sunday is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms so there is a chance our concert could get concert. i'll prey it doesn't but if it does so be it. at least we get to hang out at hershey. we got some really loud storms today i'll have to upload it soon on facebook.

Ah ha! Riding buses regularly for 16 years I have a lot to say about it. I've leaned to type on a laptop on a bus, I've learned to sleep and actually feel rested from bus riding. You get accustomed to it.
Obviously minor ball doesn't have the budget to fly so that's how most travel is made.

lol.
I fell asleep on a train and lost about an hour and a half. I was sent to Baltimore. So I drove my own truck to Baltimore. This was about a year or so ago. Well the company was working in Baltimore and Washington for the weekend. They sent me by Amtrack to spend some time in DC to work with that crew. I fell asleep and missed my stop. I wake up I'm almost to Richmond. Well all you have to do is get off at the next stop and wait for the train coming the other way. Show your ticket and explain what happened and when it stops you ask a guide 'does this train stop at this point' and show your ticket. Most times it does but if not there's a monitor that tells you what train is going to stop where you are and go from there.
I was at least an hour and a half late. The site foreman sees me walking up and says 'Are you Ostrotkiewicz?' I'm like 'yeah.' 'Do you know what time it is?'
'Yes I missed my stop and had to backtrack, but I have a pretty good work record over 20 years they don't even send schmucks for assignments like this so please spare me the berating thank you.'
I think he wasn't expecting that answer. lol

oh wow phil if I fell asleep I would of been terrified. but it's great you have a long good work record. your not a slacker so you don't deserve to get yelled at. and kim I am fascinated with airplanes to but have never been on one. I got to ride the train for the first time in my life and loved it.
i made one mistake though. I should of bought a round trip ticket then got picked up at 30th street where it's more safe. I found out when I got off the train they did not have a place to buy my bus ticket. I went to information who never herd of a bieber bus. some lady showed him a schedule and he said my best bet is to take a train to norristown and get dropped off. that was wrong. I asked a police officer on the street where the greyhound bus terminal was and he said your right there. you want the reading terminal market. well no busses in there just information lol. I asked some lady at a store but she did not speak great english. I asked a taxi who wouldn't take my cash and take me because I was right there. I had people ask me for money. deep in the city I can tell you looked kinda scary. at 4:20 I broke down in the street crying and luckily a guy walked me to the terminal. I gave him $1.00. I bought my ticket and missed my 4:30 bus so I made the 5:30 one. while waiting I gave another dollar to a guy who asked me for money. I was so glad I made it home after all that at 8pm.

Its a little freaky when homeless people ask for money. And its 1 thing if you say you don't have any they know thats not true and they pester you. Sometimes you give them a dollar and they want another dollar. Its very uneasy I know.
trains are nice. You also see a dirty side of America. Behind houses and businesses where things are thrown or stored and out of the streetside eye. You also get a sense of there things are as the crow flies since for the most part train tracks are a woods path. But you do see the backs of houses and businesses and find how old cars, old appliances and other things are tucked in back.

Like I said riding on buses for 16 years definitely made it so I can sleep on a rough ride. I'm a much lighter sleeper otherwise.
I have ridden on trains and flights during some trips but mostly its by bus for budget. hahaha.

They haven't done this in years but when I was a kid they used to hold the school buses hostage. They made parents vote the budget in if it wasn't voted in 'the school system wasn't going to be able to provide bus transportation this year.' So it got voted in.
They did that at least 3 times in my childhood. The 1st week had no buses and vote was Tuesday if it passed buses ran on Wednesday.
I think they got in some trouble over this because they haven't done that since I was in 7th grade.

Oh Phil that's so scrap league. They did things like that where I went to school too.
About the falling asleep on the train, you should have told them you got on the train you were instructed to get on and it turned out to be the wrong train.

They really did that. As terrible as it was. Once you had to drive the kids to school for a week you wave the white flag and vote in their budget. They're thieving illegitimate childs.

I'll bet that's not legal now. That's blackmail in my opinion.
Obviously their reply would be its not blackmail they didn't have the money to run the buses and pay the drivers. I am sure there's other things that could have held back on but taking away the buses directly involves the families and forces them to surrender.
