i went on Dorney Park's facebook page and some lady was yelling at them on their page over something I just can't believe. she went with a group of 10 people and had her stuff stolen. here is the crazy part. they had 10 bags that were stolen along with very expensive items. digital camera's and her car keys. she yelled it would cost 400 bucks to reprogram her car which she had towed. she is angry Dorney would not open a investigation to get her stuff back. they actually yelled that Dorney should have camera's all over the park. I commented her that I have been going to the water park since I was 11 years old and only thing I had stolen were 2 towels which I didn't care about. but all expensive items are always put in a locker. I told her that. she said she goes alot and can't afford lockers. that's just crazy to me. locker is 15 bucks then you get 4 bucks back when you turn the key in so 3 people can split a locker. after I told her the group could of split the cost she yelled it's Dorney's fault for not doing anything about it. they had lockers also at Dorney for 3 bucks. she told me the funniest thing. people at dorney go there only to steal and dorney enforces stealing. when my hours were cut I didnt go water park because a locker is a need. I would never leave my stuff in a open water park with thousands of people walking around. that's crazy to me.

There's a lot of warped logic here. I can more afford fifteen for a locker than I can to replace five and six hundred dollars of items and have my vehicle key system reprogrammed. She's lucky they didn't steal her vehicle. If you have the key fab it would be findable by just pushing the buttons til the lights flash. Obviously her vehicle had that kind of system if it cost that much to reboot it.
The park officials just can't run an investigation on this kind of thing. Obviously all you would have to do then is say you're missing items. Then what if they're not found the park buys them new things?
It sucks to have things stolen. I've had my vehicles broken into tons of times. When I played ball sometimes I had to drive places and leave my vehicle there for extended periods.
The last four seasons of my playing career I was not with this home team I was traded twice in my later years. So for the season I had apartments near the stadium in kind of sketchy neighborhoods. Not awful just not where I would stay if Blastgirl and the boys were going to be with me. But That's where I would have a pad for the season. If we went on roadtrips a vehicle was left there for however long the road trip was. Sometimes something minor happened.
Its just part of life when you take those chances.

When you leave stuff un attended anywhere you take a risk. Usually there are signs posted saying just that.I got a locker at Disney land and it wasn't too expensive. Almost everyone gets one. You would think that no one steals in the "Magic Kingdom" but they do.

I don't understand what people think they're entitled to for their money either. They think they paid 10 bucks for a movie ticket they should have a right to be idiots. If they bought a train ticket they should be entitled to.
There's the same thing Amtrack should be responsible for lost or stolen items or CSX should if its on eastern tracks.
I was just in Ashtabula the last couple days putting new lockers in a station because the complaint was there weren't enough for the traffic that train stop needed.

I teach its the same thing at school.
"Was you IPOD in your locker?" "No it was in my bag." "Was you bag in a locked desk?" "No it was on the table."
You do that at your own risk people are dishonest and they do steal. Hold on to it or lock it up. Plain and simple.

I like that video Phil.
I might steal that line. "Ten or twelve bucks did not buy you the right to be a condescending pompous ass." ;D

Use it. I think it's important to spread the word. Paying for the right to be somewhere does not entitle them to be ignorant.

i agree with that video. just because you pay for your right to be there does not mean you can 1. talk on your cell phone during a movie in a theater or think it's okay for your kids to act badly at a expensive concert. I once went to a jonas brothers concert and I tried to film this young boy who screamed he can't see and the seats were crap. then he began hitting things including me. another thing was when I went to see selena gomez concert these teenagers stood on their chairs so I couldn't even see even though they were yelled at 3 times. if you don't know the rules of acting in public stay home. yes you paid for your ticket but it doesn't give you the right anywhere to act like a fool.

I went to the Aquarium of The Pacific yesterday and I swear every daycare and summer camp in Los Angeles was there. I love kids but when they scream, shout and run into you and no one lifts a finger to stop them it is annoying.

Kids are a lot of work to keep in check. But its the job of the parent, teacher or whoever is the chaperon. That's not to say that kids have to be quiet at the aquarium but at least don't be so loud you annoy others.

i wish parents would watch their kids more. we had a mother and father in the store shopping with their 2 kids running everywhere around the store. your not allowed to run because that's how kids get hurt but the parent's didn't care. not only that but at 10pm they were still shopping after service desk paged loudly kmart is now closed it is 10pm 3 times. I paged kidswear is not clear. finally management told them we are closed and they have to leave. I wanted to leave because I am on a 8 day vacation and they were still pokeing around in the store. that just ticks me off. I don't get how people raise kids but can't be bothered to watch them.

I hear you. It is the same at Wal Mart but now we have 24 hours of this.We don't close. Kids running, bouncing balls, riding bikes and skateboards with little parental supervision. What I don't get is how parents can keep there kids up so late at night? Even when it is a school night they bring them here at 10 or 11 p.m.

walmart must have it 10 times worse then us. the chaos gives me a headache. it's horrible when they go knocking clothes off the racks. I can't belive parents would keep their kids out so late. it seems like many parents care more about buying stuff then watching their kids. I once years ago had a lady ask if a little girl was in the fitting room. I just got there so I said I don't know but you can check. she yelled at me how can you not know. I was like simple it's not my job to babysit other people's kids. they can be so rude. but when kids get hurt then there is a lawsuit against the store. even though they should be watching. but it's the employe's job to tell kids not to do stuff and when we do parents get angry sometimes.

When I went to see Nickelback in Columbus a couple years ago, there was this group of people sitting in front of us who had most likely been drinking before the concert because they were being loud and rowdy, and they were standing on their chairs. They were given a warning by one of the security guards to cut it out, but they did not listen, and eventually the security guard threw them out. Yes you may have paid for those tickets, but other people paid for the tickets too, and they paid money to see a concert; not a group of loud, drunken idiots.

You would think that no one steals in the "Magic Kingdom" but they do. I cannot tell you how many times I have read in the police logs that are posted in my local paper about people who leave their cars unlocked overnight with money, expensive stereo equipment, and other items, and end up getting them stolen. How difficult is it to bring items you don't want stolen into your house, or even to lock your car doors? Leaving those items in your unlocked vehicle overnight is just asking for trouble.

I agree the lax attitude that results in things missing. I had the hitch removed from the receptacle of my truck while it was parked in the lot at my work and I work overnight shift.
I was extra pissed since it could have only been another worker who comes in to that place at that hour. And then to specifically remove that.
For those who aren't aware of what that is. My truck has a heavy duty trailer hitch. That bolts to the frame and then there's a hatch where a slide hitch is inserted that is only held in with a pin. The pin and slidehitch were removed.
