A little more than 4 score and 7 days ago we lost my father to a sudden heart attack. I offered my mother a price for his Lincoln Continental. I might use it since it does get better gas mileage than my truck, and with 3 kids a truck can be unhandy and my wife's car is not always available so perhaps I could use a 2nd vehicle for myself especially if I didn't have to spend 35k to get it. My mother said she doesn't know how much she would like from me just yet but I can register it and insure it now and we will come to an amount later. So I guess I'll use it for now. I would still probably take my truck to work but this might come in handy. I might do a video this weekend with the Lincoln I'll see how it is in terms of time. The above picture is not the actual car, I google searched 1 the same color for since I didn't have a picture handy to upload. And I dont care to walk outside and take a picture just for the discussion. Maybe Jason will get it in a couple years.

That's a nice one! It would be a good idea to use that since gas is so terrible.

Oh yes Phil. On behalf of my family Thunderbird, and I in this case my natural family not in this instant my marriage acquired family, you are finally seeing the light moving into a Ford product.
You are becoming pretty executive now becoming a 3 vehicle family.

Those are a sweet ride but, I warn you; they can also be quite expensive to repair.
Does it still have the original air ride or has it been converted to the gas shock/strut suspension?
If it still has air ride, don't jack up a tire without turning off the system's switch in the trunk. You can end up blowing out an air bag.

That's a sweet ride. ;D Its a way of maintaining something that belonged to your Dad and keeping it going too.

As far as I know it has the original suspension. It has a few miles on it my dad was never hesitant to drive. Its a V8 and it gets about 20-23 miles a gallon on its recorded average.
Classic, I was never a die hard Chevy guy. I just happened to buy a Chevy truck because that's what I've had good luck with. My dad's 95 F150 has about 200k on it and still purrs like a kitten. The truck I drive at work is about a 1991 F350 Dual wheeled crew cab. I have done youtube blogs in it. Its a great truck too. I never doubted Ford quality.

If it gets such good gas mileage come pick me up and take me to Sears.
Just teasing I have to go to Sears and dont feel like moving. Im tired. I would take about 10 hours to get from Pennsylvania to here. ;D

I probably already said this but you get my seal of approval so would Thunderbird since you've come to Ford country.

I'm keeping my Chevy too (but my GMC is still for sale)
That Lincoln should be a sweet ride.

I might have to get something new. A four door. I have a Monte Carlo. (I'm Married to Classic we're not blood relatives) so when you wonder how a Family Member of Classic's has a non-Ford that's the explanation. We have looked at four-door models probably a Ford in the near future though.

Lincoln's are pretty good vehicles. I once puttered around in a '94 Mark VIII that had a big V8 engine in it. It was like driving a rocketship because it was fast and sat low to the ground. Gas wasn't too bad either.

That's a very nice car. I liked how you pointed out the non digital clock both on the car's dash and your watch are very elegant.

Isn't that funny how we come full circle? It was once a special feature to see a digital clock. Now that has become the norm and its stylish to see a traditional round clock.
The seat moves back when you turn it off, and forward when you start it. The only feature I don't care for is the mirrors angle down when you put it in reverse. I'd rather they just stayed put. I don't need any help backing up. I have my camper trailer hooked to my truck and back it up a driveway and into a garage. I don't need any help backing up a Lincoln sedan. But that's how it goes.

I had to text my brother to tell him you have acquired a Ford product we're both delighted. I dont have much of a life I guess.
