The other day I was talking to a girl I graduated from high school with, and one of the things that came up were teachers and what classes we liked. Since we have not had a new poll in this thread for a while, I put it here, thinking this would be a good question for a poll.
What was/ is your favorite school subject? I always loved english and reading classes, since I like to read and write, so I always did well in those classes. I'm not very good at math, so that was never my favorite subject.

I also liked art class. History I also liked, if we were studying a part of history I liked learning about. I've always been interested in the history of the 1920s, as a lot of interesting things happened then.

I have always found myself enjoying and excelling at History and English classes, and even through University there was never a time when I had anything below an A or a high B in either subject. History was my major as an undergrad, and the Anthropology Masters I'll be switching to in graduate school is an offshoot of historical study along with cultural study. Archaeology, my chosen profession, is literally digging up and researching the remains of history and using it to try and understand how people lived. You know someone loves history when the profession they choose not only allows them to physically touch it, but to come out with newly learned information about it.

I think science. I always enjoyed experiments. I enjoy myth busters show for that reason too. I find it interesting how volcano eruptions can change the chemistry of the earth. How floods change soil.
I'd go with science. I hate to admit it with my son as a forum member but I was kind of a slacker in high school. Not as bad as some but I could have been more attentive to study.

History! I just loved it. Never got anything less than a A in any History class I have taken. I was excellent in English and reading and got A's also but I had to really work for them. History was easy.

Not as bad as some but I could have been more attentive to study. I didn't like science at times. Not because it was boring, but because I barely understood it. I barely squeaked by in chemistry, and I busted ass and even stayed after for help. Same with math. Business math I could do, but that's as far as it goes. I was more of an art and history person. I liked American lit class as well. I admit I should have worked harder and cared more, but once I came home it was always plans with friends and putting things off. I did graduate with a B something average though. In 11th and 12th grade I went to a tech center where they teach trades for mornings, then had three classes in the afternoon at my main school.

I was always happy to go to those classes. my worst class was math. it had me so confused. I took writing class too and liked it. I had good grades there, but as an author, my stories blew! I do write fanfiction now and think I've improved so much since I was a teenager. The thing is we were told not to use "weak verbs." You know, common words used all the time. We had to use more descriptive or elaborate ones instead, and too much of that just makes a story not worth reading. Unless of course it's an article you're writing. Same here on math being confusing. It wasn't fun and honestly I think business math should be as far as what's required. Not algebra and the tough stuff, because not everyone can understand it. Plus, it's not used in most jobs and certainly not in every day practices.

Phys Ed all the way. And I can say I was the exception to a rule when I was told all my life that sports would not pay my way I'd need an education or a vocation. Most of the time that statement is true but I managed to make a living with a bat and glove until I was almost 35 years old.
Now I have a vocation. hahaha.

Just to intervene for now, Eric is getting very good grades that I kind of didn't expect. Not because I don't think he can learn the information, but his attention span has always been a bit easy to distract but that seems to be better or at least controlled during school times.
