Andre Johnson and Cortland Finnegan

These two players got in a fight.

Finnegan has a history of making trouble but he got his butt kicked there.

Both men were fined $25,000 by the NFL. Neither were suspended.

I think 2 games each would have been proper in addition to the money fine.

Finnegan said "I have to play with an edge." He apologized but that was more because he had to to avoid further punishment.

Johnson made a classy apology.

That's where it becomes tough. Finnegan isn't that good of a player but Johnson is. So the two of them tossed doesn't bother Finnegan's team as much as it does Johnson's.

Obviously the Texans won the game 20-0 basically three touchdowns so at that stage of the game it was a mute point. I would like to hope that Johnson chose that as an opportunity to teach that other idiot some manners but I'll never know what was behind it. Finnegan was the instigator though. Maybe he will be more careful what he wishes for now.

Play with an edge is a politically correct term for act like a jackass if I interpret things right.

In other words he's not a good enough player to match up against some of the better receivers so hopefully he can distract them into wanting to beat his face in and get them off their game focus.
