Leslie Neilson died at the age of 84 just yesterday.
Naked gun along with many other slap stick comedy movies are probably his main legacy but Neilson was a tremendous actor who actually played just about every kind of part during movies with an acting career that spans over 60 years.

Wasn't he in The Jerk too? I didn't know he was that old. He certainly didn't look 84. That's too bad though. What'd he die of?

Steve Martin was in "The Jerk", but don't feel bad the two actors look rather similar. Nielson was 84 and died from pneumonia complications. It's a shame. I also remember him from the small role he played in "Creepshow". |

The Jerk was Steve Martin but I never thought of this before but they do look quite a bit alike. Martin is around 65 he's not Neilson's age. But both of those guys sort of have a trademark of having gray/white hair years early for their ages.

I like distinguished gray hair like Leslie Nielson and Steve Martin too since were on the subject.
Not everybody pulls off gray hair to be hunlish but Leslie Nielson, Steve Martin, Paul Newman, Jack Lemon and Richard Geir
