This has been vaguely talked about before. I have been partially guarded for professional reasons but now that I am not playing and wasn't signed near the playoffs of the season by anybody I know that even a long shot last ditch effort to play pro ball once again is out.
So lets discuss names. Actual names without giving any info you do not want to.
My first name is Jeff obviously thats a nickname for Jeffrey. Our sons are Jacob and John. Traditional names.
There's a lot of new names that seem to be popular.
Not so new are some names I think parents give their kids with some expectations in mind. A former NFL football player was Lawyer Milloy. There was recently a report written by a writer who's first name was Bishop. I had to ask him if that was a "stagename' he says no.
Does that mean that's what they hope their child will grow up to be?
I wonder where these ideas come from. I like names that are different as but to name a kid Officer, or Pitcher would be silly. What does everybody else think?

In some countries giving kids ridiculous names that would be stupid even for a dog is not legal. I wish that was the case here, as they'd just get picked on nonstop for it. Celebrities seem to do that alot, and it's so stupid. I also find it irritating when traditional names are spelled oddly. Like Rhyon for Ryan and such.

People these days seem to be trying to break away from traditional names, like Emily, Michelle, Jason, Phillip, John, Peter, and more and trying to create variations or new names. While some may be somewhat interesting, others just sound completely ridiculous. Examples include Gwyneth Paltrow naming her daugher the silly name Apple Blythe Alison Martin and her son something a tad more normal, Moses Bruce Anthony Martin. Apple? Come on now. I find that silly. My mother worked at a nurse in a large hospital, taking care of premature infants. She says that she has seen multiple cases where welfare mothers, along with the rest of the family, literally take scrabble letters and thrown them in a container. They pick a certain number, and whatever they pick becomes the baby's name. She used to have fun asking them to spell it for the birth certificate.

A lot of Jason's friends have what I always knew as a last name as a 1st name: Logan, Evan, Connor, Tyler, Taylor, Wyatt, Quinn, Reese,
I guess names like John, David, Joseph, Michael, Thomas are every generation but some just are for a time frame.
In my age group Kevin was a big name but not so much before or after my general age group

My first name is Katie, short for Katherine, which is traditional. I don't really mind when people break away from more traditional names, with an exception. Some non-traditional names, like Mercedes and Rafe, actually sound interesting, but Moon Unit and Apple, are just too odd.

Since classic told his name he wont mind that I say we all have traditional names on my family too
Blastgirls name is Sara we have a sister Tammy, then of course me, Kimberly, and Daniel known at lewasite as dannyboy.
I guess Tammy isn't really an old name that started probably with Tammy Wynette. My mom is a Tammy Wynette fan and thats why my sister is named that.

I actually met a guy who's name was Peter Moss. Not peat moss.
This guy works out through CSX of Baltimore. We have worked together I always chuckle about working with Pete Moss.

My given name is Kathleen. I alway go by Kathy. A lot of people assume my given name is Katherine and when being formal will call me that without asking . It always bugged my mom and now that I am older I kind of of get peeved when they don't even ask. FYI In my High School we had a " Beverly Hills" and a "Chuck Roast" ;D

Pete Moss, Beverly Hills and Chuck Roast. People don't think. My family business once had a worker named Tim Buhr too. Thunderbird worked with him for years.
I can't believe people don't consider names better. I also knew a Russel Strovers. Its not exact the candy is Stover but its close enough to be a lifetime of anguish.
