Everybody's favorite President, Barry, is snubbing the country's greatest heroes because he wants to go boozing with friends in Chicago, instead. He's also giving the finger to several American Citizens in the process. -Flying into Chicago is going to disrupt the flight plans of hundreds of vacationing citizen-pilots and their families. I just got this in email from the FAA: FAA TO ESTABLISH TFR OVER CHICAGO, IL, TO BEGIN THURSDAY A notam has been issued that will restrict flight in the area during President Obama's planned visit.
==> 30 nm radius TFR <== Location: ORD VOR's 110-degree radial at 13.2 nautical miles Surface to 17,999-ft-MSL

Requirements for flight and operations not authorized ( www.aopa.org/whatsnew/notams-special.html )

I don't like him any more than you do Mahnarch. I don't know what to say though.

If I were POTUS I would put an end to the FAA TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions) and eliminate the unneeded Restricted area over the White House and the Capitol.
If someone is going to crash a plane into something, they don't care about invisible lines that they're not supposed to cross. Just the same as firearms; CRIMINALS DON'T REGISTER THEIR GUNS!

; CRIMINALS DON'T REGISTER THEIR GUNS! That's why they're called criminals because they don't comply with the law.

I believe in the right to have guns. I have a shotgun a low end rifle *like Hank Williams jr says 'I've got a shotgun a rifle and a 4 wheel drive and a country boy can survive.'
You have all seen my 4 wheel drive. I actually understand where the anti gun people are coming from. I think they don't always recognize all the reasons why I think you should have the right though.
I made a video about this and I still believe it. They would limit some illegal guns but they would block a higher percentage of people like me, like Mahnarch like Jersey Life and like everybody else of this forum actually.
Thats all.
I have not agreed with hardly anything Obama has stood for. Its no secred I didn't vote for him. But I said the day he got elected that it was a fair election and he won and I'd give him a chance. I believe I have done that. How it has played out though is his positions on things are just very different from mine I don't know how else to explain it but if anybody asks me to I will. I just don't want to ramble just because. But if asked I'll explain any and all things I have not agreed with Obama about. And I'll do it respectfully to whoever asks whether that person agrees with me or not.

Yep, he's not going to be honoring Memorial Day or anything when he's in Illinois. I can't believe a President would dare leave the White House.
Never mind that the two Presidents who took the most vacation time were republicans but it'd okay because they aren't brown people democrats.

No President is ever really on vacation that's neither here nor there with me. I do get just a little tired of people implying, hinting or sometimes even saying that non Obama supporters are resist.
Should I have supported Dennis Kucinich because I'm Polish and should rally? Or maybe a guy who changed his mind about important issues for the support of his party is not someone I care to see in the white house.
In the Pennsylvania primaries we end up saying good bye Mr. Specter. Ar;em Specter a career long Republicrat has changed his affiliation at least twice when losing primaries. This year he will be out. A democratic primary took place and Specter lost to Joe Sestak.
Us Pennsylvania pollacks can't always stick together. Sestak is far too leftwing for my taste. I will be voting for Pat Toomey and just hope he stays of the bottle. *wink*
Maybe I went off on too much of a rant over this but I am really tired of the assumption or hints of racism when it comes to Obama.

Mahnarch, have you forgotten what happens when you don't keep an eye on your planes in the USA? I can assure you, the rest of the world hasn't. Would you like to risk having one hit the White House as a friendly reminder? I'd like to hope you don't hate Obama quite that much.

I don't think anybody in this country has forgotten about September 11, 2001 as hinted in Slayzie's post. I'm sure a licensed pilot in this case Mahnarch, hasn't lost the importance of flying regulations however his humor might be.
I don't see the the connection though.
To answer your other question I don't think a President being assassinated, popular or unpopular being good for the moral of his country be it United States or any other nation.
And heaven help us if Joe Biden was go become President.

Mahnarch, have you forgotten what happens when you don't keep an eye on your planes in the USA? I can assure you, the rest of the world hasn't. Would you like to risk having one hit the White House as a friendly reminder? I'd like to hope you don't hate Obama quite that much. "Keep an eye on"? 96% of all flights in the U.S. are under VFR Flight rules going to and from the 500,000 Class E, D, C and B airports in the country - some of which are only a mere 20 miles from the Capital. The 4% that are IFR are the commercial flights to the hub airports (JFK International, etc) or on IFR Flight Plans with FSS, ARTCC or the 6 different "Centers" (Denver Center, Cleveland Center, etc.). It's the same (pretty much) ratio of Law Enforcement Officers to Armed citizens. It didn't take much for the gun man to approach the gates of the White House with an AK-47 and start shooting at the house as it would for (not)me to jump in a plane and fly it into the West Wing. It didn't take much for a LEO to walk into his home and gun down his wife and kids before killing himself after a stressful day at work. It didn't take much for another LEO to hide in his own former garage and strangle his ex-wife after his kids went to school, only mere miles from my house, either. I could also jump into a 1994 Buick Skylark and plow it into the gates that said gun man shot through, earlier. All guns, cars and flights were pre-authorized, arranged or "licensed" but, you can't prevent the actions taken in the last few minutes/hours. In fact, I have a katana on my wall that I've owned for 10 years. Razor sharp. What's to keep me from driving to downtown Grand Rapids and taking a few heads tonight? Did me buying it 10 years ago make me take a few Quickenings? Oh, and Kevin: I'll talk to you after I see Obamarama lay a wreath on any Chicago Memorials, like Reagan and Bush I did - instead of just boozing it up.

There's limited if any connection to all these things. Obviously people do different things on holidays. Kevin has a point the soldiers have given time out of their life sometimes given their life so you can have a normal lifestyle.
If you go by that logic then atheists should go to work on December 25 because they either don't believe Jesus was born or they do but they don't believe he was the son of God because they don't believe there is a God to have a son. If we went by that logic non believers shouldn't accept Christmas pay or a day off or go to Christmas parties.
But they do. I don't mind that its a tradition to have Christmas parties.
Most people spend holidays this time of year having cookouts and having parties. I do not assume they do not visit graves. We will be doing some of that Monday. I will be heading a group who will do a candle light vigil at a cemetery then we are going to a baseball game.

For mine too, but you don't see me complaining about what Obama does. When the Liberal Democrats start taking more and more of your hard earned income to support those who don't want to work; you'll complain. I complain about Liberalism all the time, and right now, it's name is Obama. If Hillary were elected, people would be calling me a sexist. At this point, I don't care about detractors*. I need to concentrate on stopping the fascism from taking over. *I actually do care about de tractors. It's how I make de income - that Obama is trying to take away..

You're taking what I said out of context, I meant specifically on Memorial Day. How did you spend Memorial Day Possum? I am not putting you on the spot I am just asking you. I participated in a parade of baseball alumni. We ended the parade with a vigil at a cemetery. We had a speaker who was both a veteran and a retired baseball player. Then there was a community cookout. After that I went to a local game.
