Oh crap. I'm sorry to hear about that Mahnarch. :/ Having such severe chronic diseases can be a pain in the ass. But I was right in my previous post, you'll be fine! In almost all cases it's not lethal, and hopefully it won't affect your daily life much.
I believe Crohn's to be a chronic autoimmune disease. (Not completely sure though.) It might be annoying at times, but most likely you'll have a great quality life nevertheless!
Ps: This post is based on what I've heard about it, I don't have any personal experience with the disease, nor do I have trustworthy knowledge about it. I'm sorry in advance if there's something I've misunderstood about it.

Well now you have answers. I was going to say Crohn's but didn't want to worry you. It is a heck of a disease. Eating better and looking after yourself will help a lot.You are young and strong and a Pirate. Pirates never die.Arh....Matey.. ;D

And this time they caught this in the early stages. If you're 60 or more years old and they find this diagnostic there's muck more they have to do because the problem is that much worse and has taken its toll for a longer amount of time.

Bummer. I hope the medicine makes things better as much as it can.

And take the medicine the worst thing people do is not take medicine figuring they don't need it.
My father is 73 and sometimes too stubborn for his own good. He doesn't feel bad for a few days he doesn't take his pills. And then suddenly he almost goes into a tailspin. His doctors told him "you know how it took a day or two for your medicine to work? It can take that long to wear off too but you're going to damage yourself if you don't take the meds."
That's what he gets told anyway.

Classic I think your old man learned from the same book as my father. My dad's a bit older than yours. Age 76 and just what you said. He also needs to listen about more fruit and less peanuts and popcorn. And strawberry flavored ice cream does not count as fruit.
His reply is 'I'm 76 years old and its worked thus far, why change a winning game?'
Ok dad.

I had to. ;D It could be a lot worse. David Garrard has it and he seems to be doing alright.

Thanks everyone (even Kevin because I have a similar joke that will come later).
From what I understand I should be alright, most days. Eat lots of healthy foods. Back off from ruffage on my bad days. Take my vitamins and Rxs and keep an eye on what comes out of that end...
My butt joke:
I was PMing Demona and when I did a spell check because of an oddball word, I noticed that for "colonoscopy" it recommended "Moonscape".
Now, I'm going to look up this David Garrard guy.

He's the starting quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who incidentally signed a guy I played football with in high school to a contract last month.

He's the starting quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who incidentally signed a guy I played football with in high school to a contract last month. I looked him up. Wow. Even after a resection he played football. That's impressive. Are you going to keep in touch with the guy you played with? Will we see you on National TV?!! Can I have your autograph?! Mahnarch: "I have the autograph of the guy who got signed by the guy who has what I have!!"The ladies will swarm!
