my dad just got a phone call. theres help needed in baltimore with a train that derailed yesterday
he took us all to lunch and then tossed a suitcase in his truck and headed for baltimore
he is going in his own vehicle because this is a special assignment and they need as many hands as possible in a hurry sometimes they group 4 or 5 guys to leave in 1 vehicale
he will be gone for the rest of the weekend at least
so if you dont see him at lewasite thats whats happening. he does have a laptop though

Is that considered a federal issue with a train wreck? I remember a few years ago your dad mentioned a firey crash in Kentucky. And that he spend a week or more there to work on that clean up. Keep us informed what happens in this case.

Yep had to work a train derailment. Working dayshift though.
I'm on my lunch break right now. Back to it until 7pm and again tomorrow. Tomorrow night I get a choice of heading for home at 7pm or staying over 1 more night and leaving Thursday morning. I am going to take the leave unless I'm very tired option.
That's going to be super because I will get Thursday off, Friday and Saturday I'm normally off. Sunday is Easter. So I don't work again until Monday at 11pm after tomorrow.
I did however work extra time this week and gave up my weekend and went to Baltimore. But I have 3 little kids and I need the money so what the heck I'll work.
