I read the article. Something about the name John Chafee rang a bell, so I looked it up to make sure. Turns out he was a RINO. What's a RINO? It stands for Republican In Name Only. The guy was a liberal Democrat hiding behind the mask of a Republican. He exhibits similar traits as compared to Olympia Snowe from Maine, a current Senator and RINO Republican. She voted for the Senate version of ObamaCare.
He was no different from the Democrats that voted for the socialism that just passed on Sunday. RINO Republicans should give it up all together and just run as Democrats, since that's the way they prefer to legislate. Those 21 supporters were other RINOS as well, I have no doubt.
And good luck getting me to shut up about ObamaCare. It won't happen.

I'm pissed now. I was hoping it wouldn't be screwy, but this stuff about a penalty for not having any insurance steps on our toes, total bullcrap! I don't have any because I can't really afford it, so why not let people take their chances? I hope it gets overturned or he goes in four years. Mahnarch was right, definate buyers remorse.

To answer what I think PoIsOnDaRt is wondering is whan a political leader is outside his party is this a situation the 2 parties are banding together on?
I would say no. Like Jersey said there's RINO there's also DINO Democrat in name only, an example of that would be Bob Casey jr. There have been others too.
Rudolph Guliani is probably another example of a R I N O too. His viewpoints tend to be more liberal leaning.
Now they're saying that kids can stay on their parents policy up to age 26. I guess that has some benefits in the case of a graduate student. I really hope my kids can become a little more self sufficient by the time they're 26.
You should not be forced to have health care. I think its a good idea to have it but they're going to force it on us because they need everybody paying in to support anybody who is ill and they can't deny treatment to. That means we are going to pay for it instead of the government.
Once again they passed a law that is going to let them keep a hand in your pocket. Welcome to the 1st step of welfair health care.

Ah, yes, 'ol Chafee; An enlisted man who went against his training.
Having a family history in politics will make anyone forget what being a citizen is all about. He knew to run on the GOP ticket because, either way, RI would get a Democrat in the seat - either directly or behind the curtain of RINO.
Outsourcing expanded because of him.
....It's also funny that Poison pulled an article from the Clinton years at a website called "Kaiser" Health News.
......but, then it's funnier that "I" am named "Mahnarch" (monarch) but, I'd be a benevolent leader.
