I'm against the bill, obviously. But since they passed it, the essay I just wrote out of anger will get the full message across. I just posted it.

I don't like it the way it has some laws I don't support within the mix. Obviously there's things it does offer. Obviously independent businesses like my family business could benefit to a point with it.
My brothers might (if this plays out the way they imply that it can) my brothers might now have to support of foot the bill for health care programs like Universal or Independent Health or whatever other health providers there are.
Obviously that would be less expensive for business like theirs if that does work out that way.
There are always flaws when you put government in the works though. My father is 73 his health isn't bad but he has had a few bouts with treatments. At age 64 he had bypass surgery. Not something they thought would kill him but once you go under the knife you don't know what will happen.
So supposing he needs it again. Not saying he would but if he did, it's within the government's rights to say that due to age and prior health he is not eligible for such treatment.
That might sound like a long shot that something like that could actually happen but once the right is given to the government to intervene there's always the chance they will.
There are other concerns but that's the one that has my attention the most. Some things that should not be automatically covered by a tax supported health system would be used at the taxpayers' expense too.

Still, things were bad left alone and people shouldn't have to go without. We need something, but I don't trust this entire thing either. We'll just have to see.

There's a lot of things that are unclear. When they held up the notes it was like 2 phone books that was the plan and then an amendment of it that was about the thickness of another phone book.
I wonder if everybody who voted actually read all of that. They had their vote on a Sunday that was weird in my view. That seems it was either to get some people to abstain or force them in on a Sunday to inconvenience them. Doesn't matter
I don't know it's like an advanced universal thing. I don't think the government ever does things efficient. I really don't know. I lean towards not liking it but it's done so we will see how it plays out.

And Jason when you read this, I am not supporting you until you're 26. I'll support you until you're of an age of self supporting ability and I'll support you from a guiding point for the rest of your life. But once you're out of college and with a job you may live here for a while after that but your meals and wheels and health care come from your pay check.

Sup guys, this sort of system is old news here in Australia, where we have it and it works fine. I honestly have no idea how you all manage without it.

So the government sponsors your national health care and you don't need insurance companies for healthcare at all? It's all done through taxes?
It's passed whether I like it or not so I hope it does work out. I have already expressed my concerns.
