Is everybody following the Winter Olympics? I am watching them in segments not following them glued to the tv like I have been in the past but I am enjoying this and I hope naturally being an American I will target my hopes on United States gold medals but I like the see the incredible talent that all the countries have to offer.

I think the same as you I'm watching it between the drops a little bit. I watched a lot of the hockey. I've always been a big hockey fan. In fact I played league roller hockey on a regular basis until just after my daughter was born. So up to age 35 I guess.
I enjoy the hockey and some of the skiing is wild.
I can't explain it but for some reason curling amuses me. There's some people rubbing the ice to make it more slick and others are putting scratches in it to slow the kettle down. The only rule seems to be you can't touch it. Its like shuffleboard on ice I think. I've watched it a lot but I still don't really get it.

I've watched here and there, and have been asleep or had to work so I missed alot. I wanted to see snowboarding, what I've seen of it was crazy! They were racing and had to jump hills between and just flew! I was watching curling tonight, and don't understand the scoring for it at all. It's interesting though, and yes it reminds me of shuffle board. |

Big win for USA 5-3. I'm watching the Finland vs Sweden game right now. Sweden has a 1-0 lead late in the first period.
Blastgirl likes all sports not just baseball so when events like this are on there's no squabble about what to watch.

That's right Dirty Demona. There's a lot of forums out there where American fans are saying some real disrespectful things to Canada and Canadians. That's just wrong. Is it their fault they won the game? Obviously not. Did they do anything wrong? No they won the game.
Sorry Jason but as long as Crosby comes to play in games like this he is going to get all the publicity that his success will win him. Nothing lucky about that it's for real.

I agree with that I don't like the way some of the hockey fans are reacting because that kind of gives US fans the image of being sore losers and sour grapes people.
They won the game fair and square. But I am tired of the sports media making Crosby out to be superman.
