Good for him. That's what leadership is. Its having the guts and the determination to see something through. Taking polls and then taking a stand, changing your position based on who you're talking to and trying not to hold a position at all is not leadership.
Sometimes you're not sure how you feel you might need to get more facts but then get back to the people when your mind is made up and don't die making it up. Decide. That is not to say if you find out upon further research you were wrong you can't change your mind but that's rather few and far between.
Strong leadership isn't always popular and its never easy but I really think that's what we need most of the time to avoid chaos. That's why military leaders are so successful, that's why police accademys are successful, and the best teachers are the ones who stay on target.
Its good to know we still have some of this in this country.

I think its important to target the most urgent problems and try to remedy them first.
