My advice to the current administration and majority party in Congress:
Stop blaming the previous president for EVERYTHING. It only makes you look and sound like a bunch of impotent pussies and excuse makers for not doing much but spend a lot of money in a year.
Also, grow up and develop a thicker skin if you want to be in public service. Learn to take criticism. Be adults. Conducting a campaign against the one media outlet who doesn't get a chill up their leg when you speak is childish. The over-ridding philosophy seems to be, "this is a democracy dammit! We can't have dissent!"

My advice to the current administration and majority party in Congress: Stop blaming the previous president for EVERYTHING. You are creating enough of your own problems. We can't have dissent!" Well that's exactly right they've had over a year to improve things for all they said they would do. As mentioned already by a few people Obama was onto 3 things im particular. 1. Leaving Iraq in 16 months. I am not against the Iraq war but to take it from what he said he took office in January of 09 and that means troops would be home or at least out of Iraq combat by May 20. give him a month to get his foot in the door and let the 4th of July be his 16 months. Will the Iraq combat be over by then? Philip Ostrotkiewicz of Bradford, Pennsylvania doubts it. 2. To reduce the national debt. He has nearly doubled it. 3. To work closely with other world leaders to enhance or improve American relations with the world overall. A nice idea but highly improbable since the allied nations are already in support of the United States and the rest are just about unobtainable. I agree with most of the people in this thread that you should not train yourself to be depending on others. That is for most walks of life. I am sometimes hard on my kids to know things for themselves. I have made Jason do a lot of the work with me around the house mostly so he knows how to do it. But at age 11 he put together a very complicated table from a kid that I bought for his mother and then I was sent away for work for 2 days just before Chirstmas he put it together and along with a friend of his stashed it in the attic and covered it so his mother hopefully would not find it ahead of time. He also helped me put on a roof on our portched hallway about 8 months ago. In a pinch he might even be able to do that now if he went through that 1 more time he definitely could. I lean toward operating that way.

Yes....."We'll see....." The cameras are everywhere!!! COME ON!!!! You can't give us just a little ditty?! About Jack and Diane? Two American kids, growing up in the heartland? *** Oh my, you people need to stop taking me so seriously, let me try and diffuse this situation. .................. Manarch: You'll never believe me but, in real life, I'm actually a moderate more or less. As I said above, I like to make people go on rants, and I say things like that to get a reaction. It still amazes me that I can say 5 words and what I end up with is what appears to be a bunch of long, seemingly well thought out replies. I'm sorry but that's a little funny that you, and some other people take the internet so freaking seriously. If you really want to know what I think, message me. Edit: Changed my avatar just for you Manarch. Decided to host the account inactive image on my PB profile, glad we could reach a compromise You can verify this by right clicking my avatar and copying the image location into the address bar. Will show up as: i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv177/kevination/old_boy.gifI may believe you, after I've PM'd you. But, believe you, me, I don't take 'the internets' very seriously. -95% of all anger I portray over the interwebs is feigned. I don't really care who, what or how you care about anything. (Demona doesn't really have to sweep or sing for me [though, you can bet I'm going to try as hard as I can to get her to do it on film ) I post a line. I move on. I don't hate/dislike you (actually, I respect you more for your last post. It gives insight). Just wish you'd give more of an argument on some things. But, your avatar is still messed up. Perhaps you're not seeing it the same way I am: It says that "Lord Castle's Account is expired" - and is just a big white square with red and white letters saying such. **** I'm also not liking the two smiley faces that are showing in the 'edit post' page (forth and second from the right) that say the same thing. I'm going to look into that.

What is the problem with avatar pages expiring? Weasleh2m traded me to the Phillies just on time to play for a World Series. The Yankees won it though.

I also think it's important to have your views. Jason is old enough for me to talk to him about this. His brother is only 6 1/2 and my daughter is only 2. Well almost 3 but the others are too young for this discussion. But I have let Jason be reminded that he should know who stands how before just supporting who his mother and I are voting for. Occasionally we have voted for different people.
The idea is not to be programed. If you study events and come to the same conclusion that's good but don't just say 'mom and dad are for soandso therefore I am too.'
Its also important to remember the majority is not always right. In fact quite often they're wrong. If you ever voted for someone who did not get elected either the majority was wrong or you were. lol
Seriously though not just elections some polls are taken and the majority isn't even close. Just because more people see something a certain way does not necessarily mean they are correct about it. Again not just an election.

That's a good lesson Phil. Will you be able to stand it if he votes opposite of you though? hahaha.

blah blah But, your avatar is still messed up. Perhaps you're not seeing it the same way I am: It says that "Lord Castle's Account is expired" - and is just a big white square with red and white letters saying such. blah I'm pretty sure he's saying that he took the "Lord Castle's Account is expired" image, uploaded it to another photobucket account, and set THAT as his avatar. So now his avatar isn't broken, it just looks like it. It's like if your kitchen door was beat up and scratched, so your wife made you buy a new one, but you liked the way the old one looked and decided to paint scratches and bumps on it.
