On this date in 1980 we all know it as the day John Lennon died.
That's almost contrary here. I've told you that following my birth in 1971 that my mother had 3 miscarriages. 1974, 1977 and 1978.
I remember the sad times. There is still some grief over these deaths.
In 1980 I even as a child along with my parents we were all concerned but on December 8, Alan was born. Later that night we found out about John Lennon's death.
But the birth of Alan to us was a miraculous event, just over a year later my sister was born making the 'black chain' broken once and for all.
A date that represents death to so many represents life to my family.
I don't want to embarrass Alan but I did want to mention this.

I remember you explaining that before perhaps not this clearly but it's a great prospective on how a day normally associated with Death can be Life to your Family.

I can't believe I forgot about 12/8. I'm becoming a doofus with dates, lately! I forgot about 4/26/86 this year, too. I almost forgot about 5/3/77 but, thanks to Phil, I remembered!! How old am I, now, anyway, Phil?
