I was meaning to post about it and forgot. Here it is now.
A couple weeks ago I come home and my dad says the TV broke. The big one in the living room. I had to help pick it up and put it on a wagon to be dragged to the garage and couldn't really lift it. That sucked. I was actually happy to hear it was beyond repair for half of that reason.
I went to bed and when I came upstairs, a new 32" flat screen was sitting in the stand where the old one was. It's nice, but when all the holidy sales come around, which is now, he wants a bigger one.
That's better yet, but there's a huge problem. The entertainment stand. It's a big number almost as tall as the ceiling, and is too heavy to be handled by anyone here. I don't know what can be done about it and I'm afraid my parents will try and something will really go wrong. The plan is to move it to the basement through a window, and that's far. I don't think he'd hire anybody to do it, so I don't look forward to it.

Some of these new tvs have a huge screen but they don't weigh that much for how big they are. They're less tough than the tvs of old too in if you bump them the screen can crack. Its trickier in that respect.
I can see wanting a bigger tv. I can believe the concept that a tv is never too big. lol. But I also can see the viewpoint that this is a nice new tv already and you have already bought it, why buy another television now? Bigger and broader though. Hmm decisions decisions.

New tv is always a good thing. I did something like that too. I got a new tv when I just got rid of the panel cabinet that was in my living room for as long as I lived here. It was a little too old style for my girlfriend she convinced me to buy a 40 inch Maybe it was 36 but thats what happened.
I moved the cabinet style that goes back to about 1984 it was in my bedroom when I was in 8th grade.
I moved that out to my glassed in patio. Then a 44 inch was on sale so I bought it for no reason other than its hard to pass up a deal. Now I moved the new flat screen to the back patio room and the cabinet style is in my office at work I'm not going to throw it out. I could use a tv there.

New TVs are awesome. A couple years ago, my parents got a new 60" flat screen TV for the living room. We used to have a 32" TV in the living room, and when we got the 60", I got the living room TV for my bedroom, since the TV I used to have in my room was only 25".

I'm thinking of buying one for the basement, but it would look funny on the stand I've got.

This is the same with motorcycles.... I already ride a 1000cc Kawasaki and I've been eyeing this 1450cc Harley...... but, you know...I'll save my pennies for that day. Demona, you get an RCA brand 32"? I looked at others but, I went with the RCA because I'm pretty sure I'll find a universal remote for it. My 19" flat screen I replaced was a Dynex.... Ain't nobody heard of Dynex. As far as weight, yeah. My 32" only weighs about 12 pounds - if that. OH!!! And, now that I've bought it.... I see that they make ones with built-in DVD players!!... Hmm.. figures.
