Without a doubt the gun is protection not just against other people.
The anti gun people sell it to the public on the assumption that gun control would keep the armed robbers and druglords from getting guns. Nothing could be further from the truth though. Those people would illegally come across guns the same ways they do drugs. Underground methods.
People like us would be unable to get firearms that's all.
