Bumping this to post a new video of Loki at 9 months old. He's really come into his own. He tears through the house, pretending he's a tiger and growling while he runs. He has his own unique routine, all parts of which include play at some point. He's a prankster for sure, since he likes to sneak up on and dive bomb Sabrina and Jeter, the other two cats. Jeter, even though he's getting older at 13, roughhouses with him occasionally. Sabrina has no patience for it, but that's probably because she's edging 17. He likes to jump up and hang over my shoulder, where he rubs his face on mine and on my much longer hair. He's a goofball for sure.
I also learned recently he likes to play fetch with my sister's hair ties, his favorite toy since the very beginning.

I didn't know cats played fetch games. I always associated that as being more of a dog thing.

Oh.. Loki is just gorgeous.I had a very dear Siamese cat named Kimi for over 15 years. She was my heart. She lived for me. She slept in my room and screamed at me when I came in from work until I spoke to her. I hated to leave her when I went on trips. She was my baby. I wish you and Loki many many years of love together.

I didn't know cats played fetch games. I always associated that as being more of a dog thing. Cats do it also. My cats play fetch sometimes, but usually if it's a cat nip mouse I throw to them, they don't bring it back; they're too busy trying to get to the catnip inside. One of our cats, Seamus, will grab a random cat nip mouse out of the basket of cat toys, run upstairs with the toy in his mouth, drop it at my bedroom doorstep (when I'm in my room), and meow until I open the door, pet him, and give him a treat.

Seamus gets lonely and comes to play with you. That's cool.
I've never had cats. I have had two dogs. A beagle we have now called Pirate (yes after the Pittsburgh Pirates) when I was a kid I had Ranger (you guessed it named after the Texas Rangers. Well also in combination of my father always bought Ford trucks for his business.)
Ranger would go running with me and he knew when it was time to get up and go for a run. He would come to my bet and bite on my covers until I got up. If I had decided not to go because of rain or just to take a day off he was so bummed he'd sit in a corner and refuse to do anything for a good half hour.
A few times I planned on not running I felt so sorry for his disappointment I went anyway.
Pirate runs with me also but he doesn't look forward to it like Ranger did. I had Ranger for nearly 13 years. Pirate is five right now.

OMG! When my two cats Taylor and Chloe were kittens they used to pick up stuff off the floor and take it to my room. One night my Dad and I were watching TV and Taylor goes to the front door and grabs one end of the draft dodger we had in front of the door.Chloe comes over and grabs the other end and they did a fireman latter carry to my room.We laughed so hard.
