We're having the hardest time finding the right name for him. Some suggestions have seemed ok, but we're still looking for the perfect fit.

I've had two dogs in my life. The first I named Ranger I was playing pee week baseball for the Rangers. And Ranger is a cool enough name for a dog also some of the Ford trucks my father had at work were Rangers so that seemed to be the name. He was a beagle. I've mentioned him before I had him for 13 years.
The new dog I bought my son, although Blastgirl loves him too, we call Pirate. He is remarkably similar to Ranger.

I finally came up with a name. Loki, god of mischief and shape-shifting of Norse mythology. Worshipped by the Pagan Germanic tribes and later the Vikings. My mother likes the name. Loki it is.

I hope Loki lives long and healthy. How are your 3 dogs doing?

Cute little critter! I had a Siamese for a number of years. They are so talkative little guys. I think my cat trained me to understand what he said

I was going to suggest a name for hime: Heraclese [Hair-a-kleeze].
It's Roman/Greek and, since he seems to be fearless (jumping down from a height) it seems proper.
Loki seems fitting only if he consistantly pulls pranks and/or follies.
