YAR! I have a Stow Away!!

A full three nights at sea after droppin' off Kimm and getting resupplied, me Fri'ate Jack came to me with a young chap that had stowed away in me galley.

I recognized him in a flash, as he be the spittin' image of his father.

He begged this ol' sea urchin ner t' turn 'im in, tellin' me that skool be startin' soon and he don't wanna be returnin to his learnins.

Skool be fer chum, so I made 'im prove his worth on the mighty 'Scourgin' Chipmunk' bef'er I let 'im on as a fellow matie.

As we walked along th' poopdeck and passed th' plank, I asked my soon-to-be crewman if he liked water.

*splash*

Next thing I know he's dived off the plank an' into th' sea.
I was only gonna offer him some Aquafina outta th' fridge.
(I got grape flavor, even.)

He took to the water like a mighty beast, diving down until the water went calm.

"Laddie!", I yelled, but nothing.

Suddenly, the young chap rose from out of the deep, wranglin' a ferocious, man eatin' shark!.......or it could have been a gentle dolphin....I can't really tell.



But, either way, look at 'im go!!


It be about a week before I'm back in port to return the yound lad, but as for now he be my new navigator (as per his request).

*yells up to the bridge*
Mahnarch: "Are ye sure this be the way back, laddie?!"
Jason79: "Aye, Cap'n. Sure of it!"
Mahnarch: "Funny. Last time I checked, this be the way to Disneyland!"

Yar. I leave it to him.
He looks a might young, but his application here say he got 25 years of Navy service.

That's where he went. I came home from work this morning and the hosue was quiet. There was a rolled up blanket under the bedspread instead of Jason. And his bike was missing when I went down to look for him. I see what has happened now.
The private is AWOL from the Sergeant's platoon

Put him to work Captain. Let him know how easy he has it and how rough the seas can be.

And stow awaying on the Scourging Chipmunk is a mere ploy to avoid going to school next week.

Which be only me, at the moment, but still - a pot-pie ain't gonna put itself in the microwave!!

All that to avoid school and mowing the lawn. That's not going to happen though. Even a pirate ship won't get him out of lawn mowing.

Its funny how a member of the site for years has an avatar pushing a lawnmower and we finally see the real Phil push a lawnmower.

In a update fer Jason:

It turns out he were usin' MY toothbrush to swab th' deck.
I was wonderin' why he be smilin' th' whole time.......yar.

So I made him relabel all our freight by where to haul it and to who it goes.

First, he labelled all the smelly stuff "Ship High In Transit".
Second, he labelled all the charity stuff "For Under-priveledged Children Kentucky".
Third, he labelled all the "Automatic Shipping Supplies" in the back.

But, I swear, he be lazy and just used the acronyms for them all.
An' he keeps gigglin' when I read them off to the rest of the crew.

Mahnarch: "Jack! Take this S.H.I.......Hey! Wait a minute!"


Sgt, I be pullin' full sail and trying t' catch ev'ry gale t' get 'im back t' ye, but earlier I looked behind the Scourgin' Chipmunk and found our anchor was draggin' behind.

One o' me crewmen may be tryin' to keep us from gettin' t' port.
Now...just to figure out which one....
