I think this thread is a good idea but we might move it to the art section of the forum just for 2 reasons. Art covers the use of graphics and the forum already has a part dedicated to art and this thread might fit in that section better.
Also art sections have been less traveled but and this might retrigger art.

i do graphics design at my job. we make signs and stuff that go into grocery stores/bars/etc. it's pretty boring work but it pays the bills right?

like you make a sign like they drew up for the site banner but you do it for business and causes like a charity drive or if a school is having a chicken bar bq? Things like that right?
