I come down stairs bleeding from my nose only to have my wife laugh because a 3oz budgie attacked me and cut me.

I had a Beta, once.
My wife's not so keen on the 'temperature matters' side of fish.

Whoops. The red one is "Knuckles". Bettas are the easiest of all fish to maintain, I think.
