For the last several months we've been storing seats for American Seating Inc. (for various projects) Well, we just sent out 20 semi trailers on Equity trailers that where heading to Jet's Stadium. I'm not really sure what that is but, I've heard it before. ....is this a sports thing? Basketball? Either way; if you go to the Jet's Stadium and sit down...... I've fork lifted, logged, leaned on, took a pee on, and re-fork lifted those seats. (The inbound trailer is usually broken down boxes and we have to set down pallets and hand load them onto skids [4 wide, 3 high], so, I've probably personally lifted it, also) I didn't find out until yesterday about where they were going. Where are the Jets? And, what do they do?

New York Jets of the National Football League I would presume.

"Foot Ball"..... like where two teams play against each other, kicking a white and black ball at each other?...
lol, kidding.
Hmm, New York. That'd explain the address on the outbound shipper.
So! Yeah! Folks, if you go to Jet's Stadium you'll be sitting in chairs that I handled. I think that's awesome.
.....I'm awesome.
We just got an inbound American Seating shipment that we're holding onto for a few weeks going to some place called "Shea Stadium".
I'm for real, here. I'll get video, if I'm allowed.

Actually even though they are known as the New York Jets, the Stadium is in New Jersey.
Originally they played in Queens New York but in the mid 1980s the Jets and the Giants shared a Stadium in New Jersey and now the Jets just got a new place of their own.

Its about time they moved out on their own.
There was talk that the NFL was going to make them either move back to New York or go by the New Jersey Jets but neither of that is going to happen.

In the UK, all premier league and championship football (soccer) teams' stadiums have to be all seater. The ruling followed the Hillsborough disaster in which lots of people were crushed to death on the terrace.

I remember when that happened. I think I was a senior in high school at that time. It was so tragic I remember seeing the news clips I'll never forget.

all these teams get new stadiums when the hole country is suposidly broke where does this money come from? the teams dont really have the money to build a staduim or if the owner of the team could front the money he usualy wont because he can just tell the comunity another city is willing to build them a new staduim and if they do he will move the team.
so the comunity puckers up and plants a nice juicy wet kiss right on the team owners behind and builds him a new stadium with all the conveniences and lots of seating now to pay for this new stadum they raist the ticket price by 10 bucks, the cost of each foot item by 1 buck, the cost of parking by 5 bucks and suverneers by if its a mug 2 bucks if its a jersey 20 bucks and pick your pocket at every turn

I know nothing about sports - so I can't follow all the tragedy stuff....
But, I just found out today that the last shipment we got from American Seating is bound for the Red Sox stadium...
I'm assuming that's foot ball, too?
We've gotten 2 semi loads already. There's about 4-6 more coming in the next week or two.

Hey, Mans.....
Part of that $5 seating rise goes to my pocket....and to my back surgery that I'll no doubtly have to have in the future....
....Have you ever had to lift 288 33lb boxes for 2 hours straight? .......only to have the 2nd driver show up just as you're finished with the first?
[33lbs don't seem like much.... until about the 53rd box...] [[and, lifting the 5th and 6th ones over your head]]

Demand a little of the concession too Mahnarch, that's worth at least as much as ticket admission.

Hmm... You may be on to something here. I'll ask for 10% of every Elephant Ear that's purchased. I do love a good EE.
