That's too bad, but he had a long full life for sure. Publishers clearing house is part of his legacy. In fact, in at least 1 of my youtube blogs I say 'I'm going to see if Ed McMahon came.'
That was a saying in my family most of my life that means you're going to get the mail.

I remember you saying that but I couldn't remember when you did that. My Dad said Ed McMahon might be the most successful Second fiddle in talk show history.

Yeah, Publisher's Clearing House and "Heeeeeeerrrrrrrrrssssss JOHNNY! ;D Thanks for the memories Ed! Those 2 things are part of our heritage. I remember a kid saying "Heeeeeerrrrrrrrrrsssssss JOHNNY" in first Grade and the Teacher who was kind of an alarmist was outraged that a first Grader had heard that and to make matters worse for her just about all the kids had heard that before. That Teacher was kind of a make a mountain out of a molehill person. Well I guess kids weren't supposed to be up late enough to have heard that. That's just a funny memory I have.

Those were the days with Johnny, Ed, and Doc. It seems like a long time ago now, but the memories live on.
