I don't think she got fired for her stand on being against gay marriage; she most likely got fired for some semi-nude shots of her that got leaked out. Instead of it being like Miss Nevada, Katie Reese, who got photos snapped of her semi-nude when she was drunk, Miss California was purposely posing semi-nude. According to what I read in Star Magazine, when the photos got leaked out, Miss California claimed that the wind blew her top open, while in the pictures, every hair on her head was in place.

My general feeling is that she got the can for a combination of all factors. The incredible smear campaign waged against her after her non-PC statement on gay marriage certainly played a role, along with those supposed "nude" pictures. (IMHO, nude consists of showing all the parts. She was covered.)
Trump can say all he wants about responsibilities not being met, but I wouldn't be surprised if she asked to leave on her own. I would.

I don't see why some of the things that happen do happen. You're supposed to be understanding when someone presents a new idea but if your viewpoint is against the way of today you're bad or wrong.

That's true. I'm not talking about samesex marriage either but there's new views you're expected to accept but you're also expected to be understanding to people who are not accommodating to you.
Well for 1 everybody for generations came from Italy, Poland, Germany, more recently Japan, China, and whatever other country they all had to learn English. Accents broken tone sometimes mocked for their accent but they spoke it however they could and made it work.
Now we have to understand some immigrants aren't learning English we have to have street signs and messages in Spanish so they can understand what's being said.
Even my new truck you can flip a switch and have the dash read in Spanish. For 230 years people have had to learn English and now that's changing.
Granted people who came from England, Scotland or Ireland didnt have to adjust in a language factor. But they also adjusted in a culture factor.
