 I finally got up the nerve to give my boss man a copy of the Molly Hatchet video I did and, now it's exploding around the office like wildfire! Everyone who's seen it loves it! (I think it sucks but, I'm the creator...) He's asked me to spend a little more time on a project that he's funding and getting a crew to assist me with - whatever I need - to make a commercial slash montage (colloquially called a "Mahn-tage") I'm both geeked and...I think I'm going to be sick....  I've never been asked to make one before. I just do them at my leisure. And, he would like to see it done before our June 20th Golf outing for a grand hall showing on a big screen projector.... Wooo!!! So, that's what's been going through my head all day/night. Music. Blocking. Chronology. Getting our drivers to not ham it up in front of a lens....... Oye! Here's my big chance! I feel like I've messed it up already and I haven't even turned the camera on, yet!

HA! I got a ton of raw video today but(!!) I accidently deleted some of it  I can get some reshoots, so it's no biggie but, I have to keep a list of over 100 drivers with "tagged" and "need"..... and now "need reshoots".. Granted; there are some that I'll need reshoots for, anyway because lighting wasn't good or, something was on the lens that I didn't see in production. I'm thinking of doing this vid in sections. 1) Office people/Dispatch - to the tune of "King of the Hill" at 2-4 times speed. Pausing at various faces. 2) Van drivers to - I'm not sure of a song, yet. I'm still in the planning stages. 3) Straight Truck drivers - to 'Eye of the Tiger'. Most of our S/T drivers are 60 or older. 4) Semi drivers (the KINGS!!) to 'East Bound and Down', 'On the Road Again' 'Can't Drive 55' or something awesome....er. I'm back and forth on what, when or where. I've got 38 days, or so. Weeeee!!!! |

I don't know Blastgirl. I have to give you credit for thinking of a song that invloves a van. But that might not be what a company is after in a theme.
I guess it can be edited to fit their needs though. Politicians do it all the time edit what people say to fit their objective.

Heh. Thanks, BG but..... We're talking about 60+ year old guys who...don't cuddle with each other... ;D
Someone suggested 'Can't Drive 55' for the vans, today (Sprinter Vans).
In the vans we/they can drive 70/75mph, legally.
S/T and Semi we're restricted to 60/64.5 mph....
