I have 2 sons no daughters. If I have one or if one of my sons impregnates one I promise you that will not change my view. Nor would I allow my teenager and it takes 2 to tangle, to use infant murder to get themselves off the hook.
I have also known a number of cases that having had an abortion is a traumatic memory too.
To Stunts original comment; I can relate to what you're saying perhaps more than you can believe.
I grew up in a fairly quiet community. After high school and a short college time I went for a 2 year associates, I decided to seek a career in baseball. I found out fast enough I'm not good enough for MLB but I found some rookie leagues, a stint with a few different A leagues and now I'm on my 5th AA team in a career that started in 1995.
When the 1994 Major League strike was just what the I needed to happen. Those holdouts will be gone and the door will open to guys like me.
Obviously I was wrong. They came to terms after the canceled season and botched negiciations. The big money went to the big players and the rosters were full and guys like me stayed in the minors.
I got moved around for a while before landing some stable stops and I am now nearing the end of my career as I am 34 years old now and probably wont get a contract for next year. I almost didn't get one for this year.
That makes it that I have not lived in the town I grew up in since late 1995. Before Blastgirl and I got married I did go home for much of the off season but since 2000 I have stayed.
So obviously I don't see my hometown all that often. You may think things don't change but then I go home once and actually look around not fly to the big city rent a car spend a day with my brothers or my parents and fly home, but suppose I spend a couple weeks, now there's a Wal-Mart where a field to ride motorcycles in was when I was a teenager. This 4 mile stretch where there might have been 3 farms is turned into about 7 sub divisions and 2 medical parks.
The mom and pop restaurant that I went to everyday after school is gone and they have about 5 fast food places.
The high school I graduated from in 1993 has been added on to and they're still concerned about possible over crowding by the year 2015 if another wing is not added to the school which is already half again the size it was when I was in high school.
Obviously I'm talking about a span of 15 years and you're talking about 2 and a half years.
I'm a little shocked by it.
But I am glad that the old town is lived in and utalized.
What if I came home to find a whitewashed main drag, and basically all of what I knew gone instead of changed?
Suppose you came to look at lewasite and found no posts at all in the last two years, all the members completely gone and the site dead? Would that be better?
I think your last post indicates that you would say that it wouldn't be.

Good view points, Stunts. Though I'm highly Conservative I wasn't really on board with Palin, either. She's cute but, that's about it. I'm on the fence with abortion, myself - rape resulting in pregnancy a given. I'm of the opinion that no one believes in abortion until their 14 year old daughter comes home pregnant. Abortion will also give 14 year old girls the "freedom" to have all the sex they want. I don't like that. Demona: I try to stay out of the bottom forum as much as I can but, sometimes, I can't help it. My blood boils to much on some topics and I have to vent before I have a heart attack. I also try to post non-political going's-on in there, too. Just for a change of pace. Peon: Mahnarch - 2012 It's definately not a thing teenagers should be doing. In this country they're not mature enough to handle the consequences. Having to take care of a kid destroys the remainder of your childhood. Yes, teenagers are still children by the way. Often it's the boy pressuring the girl into something, and the girl thinks he will stick around forever. In other cultures girls in the early teens marry older guys, and have no choice but to grow up fast. It's not right, but it's not here either.

In case no one's seen my YouTubeness, lately.
Here's Ryan. A 'surfer dude' liberal who voted for Obama and sleeps with women on a whim [which he tries to back pedal on]
Sorry about the video part. I didn't have my tripod, yet, and I was hanging onto the steering wheel....
It's almost 10 minutes long... Settle in and enjoy a ride in a semi.

Your video took forever to load beginning to end! Does the guy you interviewed work with you? Can't he be fired for being a stoner? The questions you asked early on really let us know he's an idiot. We had a former stoner at a place I once worked, and though he claimed to have quit, I swear the effects stayed. He wasn't the brightest or most responsible person in the world, and in his late 20's with a son couldn't keep a job.

That's from Sean Hanitys man on the street. It's a little like J Walking.
I can only hope that he used the worst examples and that most people he talked to were a little smarter than that. That's how I feel about Jay Leno's J walking.

Yeah, Demona. It's a radio interview. Every Thursday Hannity does a "Man on the Street"
Sadly, Phil, ALL the interviews are like this. And, they're all LIVE! - so there's no editing or staged interviews (Alicia is heard on the phone asking - and sometimes getting rejected - when she hunts for vict...errr 'contestants).
Hannity is based in Manhattan, NY.
Classic: You like the dash display? It shows a little bit more info that your car, eh?

I think nice high seats are cool.
I like riding in Classic's F350 for that reason. I have driven it a few times but its so big and high I'm a little spooked. But the height of a big truck is awesome.

Heh! You know all those times when you hear in the news about "A semi and a car collided. The driver of the car was mauled beyond recognition and had to be identified by his partial dental records.......the driver of the semi was fine."
That's because my feet are located just over the height of your head! Also, my truck weighs (at most) 44,000lbs. Your car weighs 3,800lbs.
That's a 40,200lb difference.
20.1 tons!
That's 11.5 of your cars piled into the space of my 1 truck!
Just to give an example of the size difference....
9 out of 10 times, it's the cars' fault, too!

It's sad when it ends like that, but on the other hand, if the driver was really stupid, I don't lose any sleep over it. I might have posted once about the accident my dad got into in 2002? We were driving on a country road, he had the stop sign, the car filled with teenage boys didn't. Both started up at about the same time I believe, and the boys must have taken off in a hurry to meet our car like that. If my dad hadn't gone off to the side, he thinks people could have been killed, and not us. The other car couldn't be driven at all, and ended up in the middle of the road, and ours was still working. I can't say I was a perfect driver when I was new either, but at least I knew the diffrerence between four and two way stops.

I have a new music video in the works that I've been working on for the last week and a half.
I want to burn copies to CD and show the bossman to get approval before I upload it to YouTube.
You will see a lot of idiocy in action.

I stopped by to leave a comment about just this subject, and this will be one of my final posts here for the next few years...
Stunts, I share your views on this. And I also know one of the reasons, probably the MAIN reason, this has happened.
People change. And the environment changes with them.
Lewa left, and the Soda crew dissipated. Some left because Sodaplay changed so much, some for other reasons. Personally, I left because I was to busy.
I've changed a lot as well. My doctor now forces me to move to a psychiatric hospital. I don't feel like explaining why at the moment, and I probably won't in the future. My mistakes had their cost... Enough said. I have to spend a month in jail, and start paying my debts to the state. (Got about 4000 us dollars in fines alone, and I've got some debt to family and 'friends' as well.) I've been betrayed by everyone I held dear, and I actually have no reason to live anymore, but I hope I'll feel better after a while...
I've never been like this before. I never was a criminal. I don't believe I ever was delirious either. Or you know... Any form of mentally unstable. Perhaps a bit gullible, but whatever. And I don't think I'm the only one who has changed. I've noticed a lot of changes since the 'good old days'. I hate saying this, but this is a Nazi camp now. At least compared to what it used to be. I miss the old crew. I miss the times where we made walking creatures and showed off with our new ideas in a primitive two dimensional physics simulator. Those days will never come back.
I don't think anyone else from back then has changed in the same way I did. Do you guys remember David Storm? His nickname used to be swordofthegarden or sotg.
When I first started chatting with him, he got me caught up in the metal scene. We discussed bands such as Iced Earth, Opeth, Lamb of God and other 'mild' metal bands. He had the most extreme mohawk, sick gurgling growl vocals and some twisted perspectives when it comes to society. He was an inspiration to me, and without ever knowing it, he helped me believe I could do what I wanted to.
That guy... He's a completely changed man now. Last I heard from him was that he's engaged with a beautiful woman, and he has a son. He cut his hair and got a job, and is now living life as normal people should.
I want to know what happened to everyone, and I want to get the Soda movement back on it's feet. I know I can't get both, but I still want to know about your lives. And about the lives of the people who left.
I'm sorry I've only brought depressive subjects with me these days, but we should talk about this. I have to face the interrogation process this Thursday, but I'll try to stop by sometime before that.
I found out what happened to David. But there's a lot of other people who just vanished...
I miss being twelve... I only worried about whether the girls would like me or not.
F*cking nostalgia...

Well, Blix (Sotis) I'm very sad to see that you're in difficult times. I really don't have the words to help. I know this though. Speaking for myself, and probably most of the Lewasite community that started in 2003 and 2004 you are a fixture part of this site. That goes for all of us who are combination of Soda to Lewasite members.
Life is no doubt more simple when you're 12 than it is when you're almost 20. It' gets harder from there.
I wish that wasnt' the case.
I remember 12 too. Being in grade 6 playing baseball with kids that were 15 through 18 and out playing all of them and having people say "Wow that little kid is good." "We'll never win this without you." And so many other things like that.
I was sure I'd go higher than AA but not true.
Now I wonder how much longer I can do this. This is likely to be my last year playing. I have a wife and 2 sons now. I have to consider what happens after this
If I don't get another contract next year will I be able to land a 9 to 5 job with not really that much experience outside of baseball and so many qualified people out of work right now.
So Blix, I pray for you my friend. You're a young guy, a very nice young guy and there's rough road ahead of you. But you have a lot to live for and just trust me on this. It will get better. Not without some hardships but it will get better. Fight through it. And whenever you can let us know how you're doing.
We DO care.

Blix, I wish I knew what was going on with you. If you don't want to talk about it right now, it's fine I reckon.
I see what you mean saying you miss being 12. I miss being a teenager. I joined Farts.com when I was 17. I don't know what Sodayplay is really. I probably wouldn't have joined up here if it hadn't been for one of my favorite websites dissappearing.
Now it's back, but it's not the same. Back in my teenage years I was an internet addict. I blogged, I frequented message boards, chatted on IM programs, and displayed my art. I basically made the day of it. Not that I didn't hang out with my friends or leave the house, I sure did plenty. Even though I didn't have money of my own, I was happy and did things. Now that I work I have plenty of money, just not endless free time. Friends have become different people, some changed for the worse.
I miss the days when I didn't really know what drama was besides petty high school arguments. I've never been the sort to be in any real trouble, but it's amazing how many people I've met who have. All I can say is I hope you're one of the few who'll learn your lesson, whatever went down.
