The judge who called a state trooper racial names such as "Negro trooper" during her October drunken-driving arrest told a state panel Jan. 26 that she had one beer and one mixed drink more than three hours before her blood alcohol level tested at twice the legal limit.

Superior Court Judge E. Curtissa Cofield said that she's "committed to continuing this ministry" on the bench, and that her actions will "preserve the integrity and independence of the judiciary," according to a transcript of a closed-door hearing on Jan. 26 at which the Judicial Review Council opted to pursue five misconduct charges against her.

Several of the charges were based on what was termed disparaging, demeaning, or "racially inappropriate" language. She used racial terms such as "n-----" in a video of her booking at Glastonbury police headquarters. She argued with state police Sgt. Dwight Washington — who, like Cofield, is black — and called him "Mr. Negro Washington."

It does seem that it depends more on who you are than on what you do anymore. Maybe that's always been true but as a culture that struggles for equality of all Races, Genders and Ethnicity we fall back on such things really makes you wonder if we have gained any ground.

Germans are ashamed for what their forefathers did.
The Irish are ashamed for their forefather's marches for freedom.
Asians are trying to get 'eye tucks' to look like their Caucasian friends....

That's exactly what Liberals want. That way they can spin it so that you, the loyal, dumb voter can and will do/vote for anything they push forward.
It doesn't matter if one Liberal has to sacrifice herself for the greater cause. As long as the party in general wins the war.

Well it's really not a liberal thing, it's ignorant people in society in genral, growing up I was picked on because I had lighter skin and funny curly hair my father is black and mother is latino and never understood why. Now my skin is darker and my hair is short and now I undrstood, I remembr going down to Florida to visit my grandparnts who are from Cuba and seeing them looked down upon for obvious reasons. Im not a guy who play the race card infact I hate it when the subject is even brought up I just know there is ignorance from everywhere from the left and the right.

When the left is attacking itself, though....that's speaks volumes about liberalism.
They're carnivorous and "Enough" is never enough. They want the next step up.

What gets me, too, is that liberals were saying during the POTUS campaign that the Right wing was using the race card when, in fact, the race card was held solely by the left.

They probably did I dont know much about Cuban politics they didn't really talk about it they loved this Country so much.

I know 1 thing that gets talked about here on lewasite forum a lot. Classic and blastgirl have often mentioned people from South America and Mexico that come in to play baseball and end up on ranches or living in obscuitry if they don't end up far in baseball because this is still a better life even if it's the 'lowly viewed' chapter of American life.

I have seen documantaries about illegals, I don't think they were former baseball players as Classic has discussed, but they're in the same boat in the way that these people don't have the 'right' to be here legally and they're hiding out. The biography I watched showed some guys who did not want their location revealed but they lived on ranches. Good guesses would be Arizona, New Mexico, Texas or California but they're not saying nor is the Discovery channel. They live in huts for spending money and their lifestyle is slightly better or the same as slaves of the 19th century.

They still don't want their location known because they did not want to be found. That means that even the life they're living right now is better than what they would have to go back to if they were found.

Imagine shoveling horse sh!t as a better life than what you left.

For sure our government and society isn't trouble free but that is eye opening.

The problem with "lesser" countries is that their peoples, their citizens, don't have the pure rage and endurance to stand up to those who oppress them.

If one million Mexicans marched on the capital, or a single municipality, you'd bet that some changes would occur.

Same with Cuba, Somalia, Egypt, The New York Times, AP, MSNBC, Guatamala, Venezuela, etc.

A million man march. A tea party. A mass showing of opposition to how things are being done and a solid voice of a nation of liberated peoples are what it takes at time when a government decides to ignore what's best for the masses and what it better for their own pocket.
