I've been wanting a digital video camera for a long time but I'm too Dutchie to throw down the quid for it (according to tractakid - 8,000 quid = $400 for one) I've just discovered the 'Flip Video Mino' Retails for about $160. Self contained. 640x800 pixel 30fps. USB. 60 minuted record time. 2 hour battery life on full charge. Charges off the comuter. All my USB ports are on the back, so I'd have to invest in a USB extension cable so I can connect easily...er. About $10. Does anyone have personal experience with one of these machines? For what I want to do with videos, the ergonomics would be handy. But, the time limit is a concern. I'd not only like to show the public what it's like to drive and handle a semi (tractor/trailer) but, I'd like to mount it on the dash to capture all the idiot four wheelers in their.....idiocy. If someone causes a crash in front of me, I'd like to have film rolling. So I can show the cops, on scene, that the woman/woman was chatting on her/her cellphone at the time and merged over/turned on red, etc. ......it's always women. Don't give me that look. I've got over a million miles of experience. Prove me wrong. Anyway. Flip Video Mino. Aye? Nay? Blah? Pukes self into oblivion? I've seen video demonstrations and the quality doesn't look too bad. But, a Cloud Insurance salesman will make you think that you'll be attacked tomorrow.

i had a black flip hd mino. I didn't know how to edit my videos but for a small camera the videos came out really good. I used it in the snow storms and the carrie underwood concert. I want to save up and buy another one. what happened was I put the camera in the water proof case and didn't realize water leaked through. it ended up breaking my camera. but I would recommend the camera to anyone. it takes great quality videos.

Sadly, after 2 years of almost constant use - my Flip cam is officially dead.
I announced it a few days ago but, this seems like the perfect time to retire this thread.

That sucks I know they're not cheap and I'm not high on getting accustomed to new things.
