As some of you know I was hired a year ago for Wal Mart as a people greeter. The money was good and I have benefits now and I like my co-workers. I just got my one year evaluation and I did very well. There was an opening in our Digital Photo Lab. This is a high paying position and a lot of workers wanted it. I was asked to interview so I did and I got the job. I started yesterday . I have a lot of training to do and computer learning. We just do digital stuff. This positions gives me room to grow with the company and learn a lot of new things. In our economy a step up is good.  |

I've heard that WalMart has had one of the few profits in these past months. You're in a good place - and climbing the power ladder!
It feels good to be recognized, doesn't it?

Hey Everyone, Thanks a lot for all the Kudos. And Mahnarch? you are right about the profit . Our store gave out bonus last payday. It is called "MyShare" Each associate gets part of the profit depending on how long they work etc. Mine came to $269.63. I started my computer training today with a lot of cashier training . I am a bit overwelmed but I actually love the Photo lab . My day sure goes faster than standing at the door. |

Whoa!! $269.63 is a pretty good bonus. Is that monthly? No, it is a quarterly bonus depending on our sales for that quarter. The amount depends on the hours you work and your years with Wal Mart. You have to work for 6 months to get a bonus. Can you get me a discount on a nice digital video camera, future boss-lady? Sure! ;D Wal Mart always has close out stuff and don't forget rollbacks. |
